B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

(2) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 200 and 175 lbf.in (2.26 and 1.98 m.daN )

(3) Measure the gap between the washer (2) and the latch housing with a GAGE - FEELER or equivalent.
(a) Make sure that the gap is at least 0.010 in. (0.254 mm). See the figure:
(4) Install the latch No. 2 (5) on the latch housing with the bolt (3), the washer (2) and the nut (1).
(5) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 200 and 175 lbf.in (2.26 and 1.98 m.daN )

(6) Measure the gap between the washer (2) and the latch housing with a GAGE - FEELER or equivalent.
(a) Make sure that the gap is at least 0.010 in. (0.254 mm). See the figure:
(7) Install the latch No. 3 (6) on the latch housing with the bolt (3), the washer (2) and the nut (1).
(8) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 200 and 175 lbf.in (2.26 and 1.98 m.daN )

(a) Make sure that the gap is at least 0.010 in. (0.254 mm). See the figure:
5. Close-upCAUTION:
YOU MUST INSTALL THE BOLT WITH THE HEAD OF THE BOLT ON THE FORWARD SIDE OF THE LATCH HOUSING.
(1) Install the latch No. 1 (4) on the latch housing with the bolt (3), the washer (2) and the nut (1).(2) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 200 and 175 lbf.in (2.26 and 1.98 m.daN )
.(3) Measure the gap between the washer (2) and the latch housing with a GAGE - FEELER or equivalent.
(a) Make sure that the gap is at least 0.010 in. (0.254 mm). See the figure:
(4) Install the latch No. 2 (5) on the latch housing with the bolt (3), the washer (2) and the nut (1).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(3) Adjust the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-820-802).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(3) Adjust the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-820-802).
