A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or the slats.
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Get Access
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
   (2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (4) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuator.
   (5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 570(670).
   (6) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position to get access to the top surface of the wing in zone 570(670).
   (7) Remove the upper wing/fuselage fillet fairing(s) 191ET(192ET) (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-000-001) to get access to the three shroud box/fuselage attachments.

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-51-15-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Shroud Box
   (1) Remove the alternate-brake servo valve manifold (2614GM, 2615GM) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-31-000-001).
   (2) Clean up any hydraulic fluid that has spilled on the aircraft structure.
   (3) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) At the bracket (17) disconnect the hydraulic connector (8) from the adapter (9).
   (5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (6) Attach the electrical connector (20) together with the brake-pipes (7) and (19) to the structure. Make sure that they are clear of the shroud box.
NOTE: Let the brake-pipe (18) stay in position on the shroud box.
   (7) Remove the bolts (1) and the cable clips (2). Remove the electrical harness (of the alternate brake-servo valve) from the front spar of the shroud box. Retain the bolts and the cable clips.
   (8) Put the electrical harness into a BAG - PLASTIC and attach it to the structure. Make sure that it is clear of the shroud box.
   (9) Identify the brake-pipes (13) and (14) with a mark to help with the correct installation.
   (10) At the inboard end of the shroud box:
     (a) Remove the nuts (10) and the bolts (11).
     (b) Remove the clamp blocks (12) from the brake-pipes (13) and (14). Retain the nuts (10), bolts (11) and clamp blocks (12).
   (11) Disconnect the brake-pipe connectors (15) and (16) from their related adapters on the structure.
   (12) Remove the bolts (3) and the clamp blocks (4). Retain the bolts (3) and the clamp blocks (4).
   (13) Carefully remove the brake-pipes (13) and (14) from the front spar of the shroud box.
   (14) Install PLUG - BLANKING on the ends of the two brake pipes and on their related adapters in the MLG bay.
   (15) Remove the torque shaft 6206CM(6256CM) from the shroud box (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-45-000-003).
   (16) At the shroud box/overwing panel top skin attachment:
     (a) Remove and retain all the bolts (65) from the top surface of the wing.
   (17) At the shroud box/overwing panel forward attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the cotter-pin (72), the nut (71), the washer (70), the bolt (66) and the washer (67).
     (b) Remove the bush (69) from the bracket on the overwing panel and the forward attachment bracket (68) on the shroud box.
     (c) Discard the cotter-pin (72).
   (18) Sufficiently support the shroud box.
NOTE: The weight of the shroud box is approximately 30 kg (66.1 lb).
   (19) At the outboard forward attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (81), the bolt (83) and disconnect the bonding strap (80) from the tag (82).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (84), the nut (75), the bolt (78) and the washer (79).
     (c) Remove the slider bushes (76) from the outboard forward attachment bracket (77).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (84).
   (20) At the outboard aft attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (96), the bolt (98) and disconnect the bonding strap (95) from the tag (97).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (94), the nut (93), the washer (92) and the bolt (89).
     (c) Remove the floating bushes (90) from the outboard aft attachment bracket (91).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (94).
   (21) At the inboard aft attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (52), the bolt (50) and disconnect the bonding strap (55) from the bracket (51).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (59), the nut (60), the washer(s) (58), the bolt (53) and the washer (54).
     (c) Remove the floating bush (57) from the inboard aft attachment bracket (61).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (59).
     (e) Move the end of the rod (56) clear of the inboard aft attachment bracket (61). Do not adjust the length of the rod (56). The rod (56) is set and locked at aircraft build and must not be adjusted.
   (22) At the inboard center attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the cotter-pin (43), the nut (44), the washer(s) (45), the bolt (40) and the washer (41).
     (b) Remove the floating bush (46) from the inboard center attachment bracket (42).
     (c) Discard the cotter-pin (43).
     (d) Move the end of the rod (47) clear of the inboard center attachment bracket (42). Do not adjust the length of the rod (47). The rod (47) is set and locked at aircraft build and must not be adjusted.
   (23) At the inboard forward attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (28), the bolt (34) and disconnect the bonding strap (33) from the bracket (27).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (29), the nut (30), the washer(s) (31), the bolt (24) and the washer (25).
     (c) Remove the floating bush (32) from the inboard forward attachment bracket (26).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (29).
     (e) Move the end of the rod (35) clear of the inboard forward attachment bracket (26). Do not adjust the length of the rod (35). The rod (35) is set and locked at aircraft build and must not be adjusted.
   (24) To remove the shroud box from the wing:
     (a) Carefully break the bond of the sealant between the shroud box and the overwing panel.
     (b) Carefully disengage the outboard attachment brackets on the shroud box from the related brackets on the fixed shroud. Lower the shroud box clear of the aircraft and put it on a clean surface.
Subtask 57-51-15-020-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Shroud Box
   (1) Remove the alternate-brake manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-32-000-001).
   (2) Clean up any hydraulic fluid that has spilled on the aircraft structure.
   (3) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Attach the electrical connector (7) and the manifold spacer (6) to the structure. Make sure that they are clear of the shroud box.
   (5) At the bracket (3), disconnect the hydraulic connector (2) of the brake-hose (1) from the adapter (4).
   (6) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
   (7) Attach the electrical connector (8) together with the brake-hose (1) to the structure. Make sure that they are clear of the shroud box.
NOTE: Let the brake-pipe (5) and the adapter (4) stay in position on the shroud box bracket (3).
   (8) Remove the inboard brake-pipes (14), (15) and (16) as follows:
     (a) Disconnect the brake-pipe hydraulic connectors (17), (18) and (19) from their related adapters on the structure.
     (b) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
     (c) Support the brake-pipes then remove the center and bottom bolts (12) and washers (11) from each clamp block (9).
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the top bolt (10) and its related nut from each clamp block (9).
     (d) Remove the inboard brake-pipe and clamp block assembly (13) from the shroud box.
   (9) Remove the torque shaft 6206CM(6256CM) from the shroud box (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-45-000-003).
   (10) At the shroud box/overwing panel top skin attachment:
     (a) Remove and retain all the bolts (65) from the top surface of the wing.
   (11) At the shroud box/overwing panel forward attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the cotter-pin (72), the nut (71), the washer (70), the bolt (66) and the washer (67).
     (b) Remove the bush (69) from the bracket on the overwing panel and the forward attachment bracket (68) on the shroud box.
     (c) Discard the cotter-pin (72).
   (12) Sufficiently support the shroud box.
NOTE: The weight of the shroud box is approximately 30 kg (66.1 lb).
   (13) At the outboard forward attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (81), the bolt (83) and disconnect the bonding strap (80) from the tag (82).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (84), the nut (75), the bolt (78) and the washer (79).
     (c) Remove the slider bushes (76) from the outboard forward attachment bracket (77).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (84).
   (14) At the outboard aft attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (96), the bolt (98) and disconnect the bonding strap (95) from the tag (97).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (94), the nut (93), the washer (92) and the bolt (89).
     (c) Remove the floating bushes (90) from the outboard aft attachment bracket (91).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (94).
   (15) At the inboard aft attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (52), the bolt (50) and disconnect the bonding strap (55) from the bracket (51).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (59), the nut (60), the washer(s) (58), the bolt (53) and the washer (54).
     (c) Remove the floating bush (57) from the inboard aft attachment bracket (61).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (59).
     (e) Move the end of the rod (56) clear of the inboard aft attachment bracket (61). Do not adjust the length of the rod (56). The rod (56) is set and locked at aircraft build and must not be adjusted.
   (16) At the inboard center attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the cotter-pin (43), the nut (44), the washer(s) (45), the bolt (40) and the washer (41).
     (b) Remove the floating bush (46) from the inboard center attachment bracket (42).
     (c) Discard the cotter-pin (43).
     (d) Move the end of the rod (47) clear of the inboard center attachment bracket (42). Do not adjust the length of the rod (47). The rod (47) is set and locked at aircraft build and must not be adjusted.
   (17) At the inboard forward attachment bracket:
     (a) Remove the nut (28), the bolt (34) and disconnect the bonding strap (33) from the bracket (27).
     (b) Remove the cotter-pin (29), the nut (30), the washer(s) (31), the bolt (24) and the washer (25).
     (c) Remove the floating bush (32) from the inboard forward attachment bracket (26).
     (d) Discard the cotter-pin (29).
     (e) Move the end of the rod (35) clear of the inboard forward attachment bracket (26). Do not adjust the length of the rod (35). The rod (35) is set and locked at aircraft build and must not be adjusted.
   (18) To remove the shroud box from the wing:
     (a) Carefully break the bond of the sealant between the shroud box and the overwing panel.
     (b) Carefully disengage the outboard attachment brackets on the shroud box from the related brackets on the fixed shroud. Lower the shroud box clear of the aircraft and put it on a clean surface.
