A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Install the safety devices on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001) and the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the landing gear doors.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable main landing gear bay, zone 571 or 671.
   (2) Remove the applicable MLG leg assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-11-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 57-26-13-020-050-B
A. Removal of the Bearing Assembly
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Remove and discard the wire locking from the ten bolts (9).
   (2) Remove the four greasers (8), the bolts (9) and the seal assembly (7).
   (3) Remove and discard the four O-ring seals (5) for the greasers (8) from below the seal assembly (7).
   (4) Use a SPATULA - PLASTIC to remove the sealant from around the locking ring (6).
   (5) Remove the locking ring (6).
   (6) Use the 98D57004003000 SOCKET-RING (FOR NUT OF FWD PINTLE BEARING) to remove the bearing-housing assembly (4).
   (7) Remove the shim (3) if installed.
   (8) Remove the bearing housing-halves (11) from the bearing (12).
   (9) Remove and discard the two O-ring seals (10) from the bearing (12).
