A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (2) Put on a safety harness:
WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
     (a) Put on and attach a safety harness before you start work in the work area.
   (3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 12M (40 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 360.

B. Make sure that the Green, Blue and /or Yellow hydraulic system is(are) depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

A. Remove the Rudder Tip
F Rudder Tip ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Carefully remove the sealant around the rudder tip.
   (2) Remove the screws (5), the washers (4) and the nuts (3).
   (3) Remove the screws (6) and the rudder tip (1).
   (4) If necessary, remove the static discharger (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-61-41-000-001).

A. Remove the Rudder Tip

   (1) Carefully use the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant from the rudder tip (1).
   (2) Remove the nuts (3), the washers (4), the screws (5), (6) and (7) and the rudder tip (1).
   (3) If necessary, remove the static discharger (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-61-41-000-001).
