A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred a minimum of five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the ENG section of overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC GND PWR 1(2).
(4) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001) when you do work on the fuel system.

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position, below the applicable pylon rear-attachment point, at zone 475 (485).
(2) Remove the applicable aft attach fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-17-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position, below the applicable pylon rear-attachment point, at zone 475 (485).
(2) Remove the applicable aft attach fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-17-000-002).

(2) Hold the bearing (4) with the 98D54003006000 WRENCH-CASTELLETED (98D54003006202) and use the 98D54003006000 WRENCH-CASTELLETED (98D54003006200) to remove the nut (1).
(3) Remove and discard the tab washer (2).
(4) Remove the bearing (4) with the 98D54003006000 WRENCH-CASTELLETED (98D54003006202).
(5) Discard the bearing (4).
Pylon Rear Attachment at RIB10 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
Pylon Rear Attachment at RIB10 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
DO NOT DAMAGE THE REAR BEARING ATTACHMENT WHEN YOU REMOVE THE BEARING.
(1) Bend the tab washer (2) to release the slotted nut (1). (2) Hold the bearing (4) with the 98D54003006000 WRENCH-CASTELLETED (98D54003006202) and use the 98D54003006000 WRENCH-CASTELLETED (98D54003006200) to remove the nut (1).
(3) Remove and discard the tab washer (2).
(4) Remove the bearing (4) with the 98D54003006000 WRENCH-CASTELLETED (98D54003006202).
(5) Discard the bearing (4).
