A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) If installed, remove access panel 197RB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).

B. Cleaning Procedure
(1) Remove the sealant from the inspection area with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Clean the drain valves and the adjacent areas of the fuselage skin external-surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Non structural use - - (Material No.08BPA1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

4. Procedure
Subtask 53-00-00-210-050-A

A. Inspection of the Piston-Type Drain Valves of the Lower Fuselage Shell
(1) Remove the piston-type drain valves from the lower fuselage shell and examine them as follows:
(a) Remove the basic valves from the drain valve assemblies.
(b) Make sure that the basic valves are not blocked.
(c) If they are blocked, remove the blockage.
(d) Carefully put the PROBE - NON METALLIC, FLEXIBLE in the center of each basic valve to make sure that the valves are open.
(e) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the mating surface of the drain valves and the structure.
(f) Install the basic valves.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) If removed, install access panel 197RB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
