A. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the access to the cockpit is available.
(2) Remove the ceiling panel 221AC between the galley and the lavatory (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-51-11-020-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Cockpit Door
(1) Remove the limit switch 310LG from the cockpit wall (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-21-12-000-001).
(2) Remove the cockpit wall (1) between the galley wall and the lavatory side wall (2) as follows:
(3) Cut, remove and discard the tie-wrap (17) and remove the wire harness (18) from the cockpit wall (1).
(a) Remove the screws (7) and the washers (8) from the wall brackets (6) to disconnect the cockpit wall (1) from the lavatory side wall (2).
(b) Remove the screws (11) and the washers (12) from the fuselage fitting bracket (16) and remove the cockpit wall (1).
(4) Remove the cockpit door (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the screws (13) and the washers (14) from the fuselage fitting (15) to disconnect the door post (10).
(b) Lift the cockpit door (3) until it comes free of the lower pivot axle (4) and remove it.

Subtask 52-51-11-020-050-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Cockpit Door
(1) Remove the limit switch 310LG from the cockpit wall (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-21-12-000-001).
(2) Remove the cockpit wall (1) between the galley wall and the lavatory side wall (2) as follows:
(3) Cut, remove and discard the tie-wrap (18) and remove the wire harness (19) from the cockpit wall (1).
(a) Remove the screws (5) and the washers (6) from the wall brackets (7) to disconnect the cockpit wall (1) from the lavatory side wall (2).
(b) Remove the screws (11) and the washers (12) from the fuselage fitting bracket (16).
(c) Remove and retain the shims (17). Remove the cockpit wall (1).
(4) Remove the cockpit door (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the screws (13) and the lock washers (14) from the fuselage fitting (15) to disconnect the door post (8). Discard the lock washers (14).
(b) Remove and retain the base plate (9) and the shims (10).
(c) Record the positions of the shims (10), (17) and the base plate (9) that you removed.

NOTE: This will make the subsequent installation easier.

(d) Lift the cockpit door (3) until it comes free of the lower pivot axle (4) and remove it.

Subtask 52-51-11-020-050-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Cockpit Door
(1) Remove limit switch 310LG from the cockpit wall panel (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-21-12-000-001).
(2) Remove the cockpit wall panel (1) between the galley wall and the lavatory side wall (2) as follows:
(a) Cut and discard the tie-wrap (18).
(b) Remove the wire harness (19) from the cockpit wall panel (1).
(c) Release the lockwashers (6) from the screws (5).
(d) Remove the screws (5), the lockwashers (6), the shims (20) and (21) and the bracket (7).
(e) Discard the lockwashers (6).
(f) Disconnect the cockpit wall panel (1) from the lavatory side wall (2).
(g) Release the lockwashers (12) from the screws (11).
(h) Remove the screws (11), the lockwashers (12) and the shim (28) from the fuselage fitting bracket (16).
(i) Discard the lockwashers (12).
(j) Remove and keep the shims (17).
(k) Record the positions of the shims (17) that you removed.

NOTE: This will make the subsequent installation easier.

(l) Remove the cockpit wall panel (1).
(3) Remove the cockpit door (3) as follows:
(a) Release the lockwashers (14) from the screws (13).
(b) Remove the screws (13) and the lockwashers (14) from the fuselage fitting (15) to disconnect the upper hinge (8).
(c) Discard the lockwashers (14).
(d) Remove and keep the base plate (9) and the shims (10).
(e) Record the positions of the base plate (9) and the shims (10) that you removed.

NOTE: This will make the subsequent installation easier.

(f) Lift the cockpit door (3) until it comes out of the lower pivot axle (4) and remove it.

Subtask 52-51-11-020-050-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Cockpit Door
(1) Remove limit switch 310LG from the cockpit wall panel (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-21-12-000-001).
(2) Remove the cockpit wall panel (1) between the galley wall and the lavatory side wall (2) as follows:
(a) Cut and discard the tie-wrap (9).
(b) Remove the wire harness (10) from the cockpit wall panel (1).
(c) Release the lockwashers (15) from the screws (14).
(d) Remove the screws (14), the lockwashers (15), the shims (16) and (18) and the bracket (17).
(e) Discard the lockwashers (15).
(f) Disengage the cockpit wall panel (1) from the lavatory side wall (2).
(g) Remove the screws (5) and the washers (6) from the fuselage fitting bracket (8).
(h) Remove the cockpit wall panel (1).
(3) Remove the cockpit door (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (12) from the fuselage fitting (7) to disengage the upper hinge (11).
(b) Lift the cockpit door (3) until it comes out of the lower pivot axle (4) and remove it.
