(1) Open the fuel panel access-door (10).
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire from the nut (11) and the locknut (13).
(3) Loosen the nut (11) and the locknut (13) from the stop screw (14).
(4) Adjust the stop screw (14) until it touches the proximity switch (19) and before the fuel panel access-door (10) closes.
(5) Make sure that when the fuel panel access-door (10) is fully closed, the light is off.
(6) Retract the stop screw (14) by 2.5 +0.2 mm or -0.2 mm (0.0984 +0.0079 in. or -0.0079 in.).
(7) Tighten the nut (11) and the locknut (13) on the support fitting (12).
(8) Safety the nut (11) and the locknut (13) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .

(1) Open the fuel panel access-door (4).
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire from the nut (17) and the locknut (19).
(3) Loosen the nut (17) and the locknut (19) from the stop contactor (20).
(4) Adjust the stop contactor (20) until it touches the proximity switch (25) and before the fuel panel access-door (4) closes.
(5) Make sure that when the fuel panel access-door (4) is fully closed, the light is off.
(6) Retract the stop contactor (20) by 2.5 +0.2 mm or -0.2 mm (0.0984 +0.0079 in. or -0.0079 in.).
(7) Tighten the nut (17) and the locknut (19) on the support fitting (5).
(8) Safety the nut (17) and the locknut (19) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .

A. Installation of the Fuel Panel Access-Door
(1) Put the fuel panel access-door (10) in position in its frame on the hinge side.
(2) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) in the housing of the screws (18).
(3) Install the cupwashers (2), the washers (17), the screws (1) and (18) and the nuts (8).
(4) Do an electrical bonding when you install the screws (1), the cupwashers (2) and the nuts (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(5) Tighten the nuts (8).
(6) Install the screw (4), the washers (5) and (6), the spring (3), the washers (7) and (16) and the nut (15) on the support fitting (9).
(7) Tighten the nut (15).
Subtask 52-42-18-420-051-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the fuel panel access-door (10) in position in its frame on the hinge side.
(2) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) in the housing of the screws (18).
(3) Install the cupwashers (2), the washers (17), the screws (1) and (18) and the nuts (8).
(4) Do an electrical bonding when you install the screws (1), the cupwashers (2) and the nuts (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(5) Tighten the nuts (8).
(6) Install the screw (4), the washers (5) and (6), the spring (3), the washers (7) and (16) and the nut (15) on the support fitting (9).
(7) Tighten the nut (15).
A. Installation of the Fuel Panel Access-Door
(1) Assemble the fuel panel access-door (4):
(b) Install the stop contactor (20) together with the locknut (19), the washers (18) and the nut (17) on the support fitting (5).
(2) Hold the fuel panel access-door (4) and install the screws (8), the washers (7) and the new AIPC 52-42-03-05-390 NUTS (6) or the new AIPC 52-42-83-05-030 NUTS (6).
(3) Tighten the nuts (6).
(4) Put the spring (12) in position and install the screw (3), the spacer (2) and the nut (1).
(5) Connect the bonding lead (10) as follows:
(a) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(b) Connect the bonding lead (10) and install the screw (21), the washer (9) and the new AIPC 52-42-18-01-100 NUT (11).
(c) Tighten the nut (11).
(d) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 52-42-18-820-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Assemble the fuel panel access-door (4):
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(a) Put the spring (12) in position and install the axis (15) together with the pin (16), the washers (13) and the new AIPC 52-42-03-05-580 COTTER PIN (14) or the new AIPC 52-42-83-05-220 COTTER PIN (14). (b) Install the stop contactor (20) together with the locknut (19), the washers (18) and the nut (17) on the support fitting (5).
(2) Hold the fuel panel access-door (4) and install the screws (8), the washers (7) and the new AIPC 52-42-03-05-390 NUTS (6) or the new AIPC 52-42-83-05-030 NUTS (6).
(3) Tighten the nuts (6).
(4) Put the spring (12) in position and install the screw (3), the spacer (2) and the nut (1).
(5) Connect the bonding lead (10) as follows:
(a) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(b) Connect the bonding lead (10) and install the screw (21), the washer (9) and the new AIPC 52-42-18-01-100 NUT (11).
(c) Tighten the nut (11).
(d) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

B. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch (1) Open the fuel panel access-door (10).
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire from the nut (11) and the locknut (13).
(3) Loosen the nut (11) and the locknut (13) from the stop screw (14).
(4) Adjust the stop screw (14) until it touches the proximity switch (19) and before the fuel panel access-door (10) closes.
(5) Make sure that when the fuel panel access-door (10) is fully closed, the light is off.
(6) Retract the stop screw (14) by 2.5 +0.2 mm or -0.2 mm (0.0984 +0.0079 in. or -0.0079 in.).
(7) Tighten the nut (11) and the locknut (13) on the support fitting (12).

(5) Make sure that when the fuel panel access-door (4) is fully closed, the light is off.
(6) Retract the stop contactor (20) by 2.5 +0.2 mm or -0.2 mm (0.0984 +0.0079 in. or -0.0079 in.).

Adjustment of the Fuel Panel Access-Door (192MB) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Cut and discard the lockwire from the nut (17) and the locknut (19).
(3) Loosen the nut (17) and the locknut (19) from the stop contactor (20).
(4) Adjust the stop contactor (20) until it touches the proximity switch (25).
(5) Loosen the stop contactor (20) until the light goes off.
(6) Retract the stop contactor (20) by 2.5 +0.2 mm or -0.2 mm (0.0984 +0.0079 in. or -0.0079 in.).
(7) Tighten the nut (17) and the locknut (19) on the support fitting (5).
(8) Safety the nut (17) and the locknut (19) with the
C. Check of the Peripheral Clearance
(1) Close the fuel panel access-door (14).
(2) Do a check of the peripheral clearance between the fuel panel access-door (14) and the fuel panel access-door frame.
(3) Make sure that clearance Y is 1.5 -0.5 mm or +0.5 mm (0.0591 -0.0197 in. or +0.0197 in.).
(4) If clearance Y is not in the tolerance do the adjustment that follows:
(a) Open the fuel panel access-door (14).
(b) Loosen the nuts (7) from the fuel panel access-door (14).
(c) Move the fuel panel access-door (14) until the clearance Y is in the limit.
(d) Tighten the nuts (7).
Subtask 52-42-18-220-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Close the fuel panel access-door (14).
(2) Do a check of the peripheral clearance between the fuel panel access-door (14) and the fuel panel access-door frame.
(3) Make sure that clearance Y is 1.5 -0.5 mm or +0.5 mm (0.0591 -0.0197 in. or +0.0197 in.).
(4) If clearance Y is not in the tolerance do the adjustment that follows:
(a) Open the fuel panel access-door (14).
(b) Loosen the nuts (7) from the fuel panel access-door (14).
(c) Move the fuel panel access-door (14) until the clearance Y is in the limit.
(d) Tighten the nuts (7).
C. Check and Adjustment of the Fuel Panel Access-Door
(1) Apply Testing Medium-Gap Measuring Epoxy - (Material No.14CHB1) on the recess of the hooks (21).
(2) Close the fuel panel access-door (4).
(3) Make sure that:
(a) Clearance J2 is 1.5 +1.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0591 +0.0591 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(b) Clearance J4 is 1.5 +1.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0591 +0.0591 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(c) Out-of-flush clearance J3 is 0 +0.7 mm or -0.7 mm (0.0000 +0.0276 in. or -0.0276 in.).
(d) Out-of-flush clearance J5 is 0 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).
(e) The fuel panel access-door (4) is correctly installed in its frame.
(4) Open the fuel panel access-door (4).
(5) Make sure that clearance J1 between the spacers (26) and the hooks (21) is 0.5 +0.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0197 +0.0197 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(6) Do the adjustment that follows if:
(b) Correct the position of the hooks (21).
(c) If necessary, drill new holes in the support fitting SRM 514211.
(d) Install the bolts (22) and the nuts (23).
(e) Tighten the nuts (23).
(f) Remove the paste from the recess of the hooks (21).
(7) Make sure that the spacers (26) move freely when the fuel panel access-door (4) is open.
(8) Measure the opening and closing loads of the fuel panel access-door (4) with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL.
(9) Make sure that:
(a) The closing load at the center of the fuel panel access-door (4) is between 9 daN (20.2328 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9771 lbf).
(b) The opening load at the forward extremity of the fuel panel access-door (4) is less than 10 daN (22.4809 lbf).
(c) The opening angle of the fuel panel access-door (4) is more than 90 degrees.
Subtask 52-42-18-220-050-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply Testing Medium-Gap Measuring Epoxy - (Material No.14CHB1) on the recess of the hooks (21).
(2) Close the fuel panel access-door (4).
(3) Make sure that:
(a) Clearance J2 is 1.5 +1.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0591 +0.0591 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(b) Clearance J4 is 1.5 +1.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0591 +0.0591 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(c) Out-of-flush clearance J3 is 0 +0.7 mm or -0.7 mm (0.0000 +0.0276 in. or -0.0276 in.).
(d) Out-of-flush clearance J5 is 0 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).
(e) The fuel panel access-door (4) is correctly installed in its frame.
(4) Open the fuel panel access-door (4).
(5) Make sure that clearance J1 between the spacers (26) and the hooks (21) is 0.5 +0.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0197 +0.0197 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(6) Do the adjustment that follows if:
- Clearances J2 and J4 and out-of-flush clearances J3 and J5 are not in the tolerances.
- The fuel panel access-door (4) is not correctly installed in its frame:
(b) Correct the position of the hooks (21).
(c) If necessary, drill new holes in the support fitting SRM 514211.
(d) Install the bolts (22) and the nuts (23).
(e) Tighten the nuts (23).
(f) Remove the paste from the recess of the hooks (21).
(7) Make sure that the spacers (26) move freely when the fuel panel access-door (4) is open.
(8) Measure the opening and closing loads of the fuel panel access-door (4) with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL.
(9) Make sure that:
(a) The closing load at the center of the fuel panel access-door (4) is between 9 daN (20.2328 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9771 lbf).

C. Check and Adjustment of the Fuel Panel Access-Door
(1) Close the fuel panel access-door (4).
(2) Make sure that:
(a) Clearance J2 is 3 +1 mm or -0 mm (0.1181 +0.0394 in. or +0.0000 in.) for the forward side.
(b) Clearance J2 is 2 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0787 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.) for the aft side.
(c) Clearance J4 is 2 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0787 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).
(d) Out-of-flush clearance J3 is 0.5 +0.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0197 +0.0197 in. or -0.0197 in.) for the aft side.
(e) Out-of-flush clearance J3 is -0.5 +0.5 mm or -0.5 mm (-0.0197 +0.0197 in. or -0.0197 in.) for the forward side.
(f) Out-of-flush clearance J5 is 0 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).
(g) The fuel panel access-door (4) is correctly installed in its frame.
(3) If clearances J2 and J4 are not correct, adjust the counter-fittings:
(a) Remove the nuts (34), the washer (38), the bonding strap (10), the bolts (35), (36) and (37) and the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33).
(b) Put the fuel panel access-door (4) and the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33) in the correct position.
(c) Drill new holes from the fuel panel to the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33) SRM 514211.
(d) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the mating surfaces of the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33).
(e) Install the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33) with the bolts (35), (36) and (37), the bonding strap (10), the washer (38) and the nuts (34).
(f) Make sure that you install the electrical bonding dry.
(g) Tighten the nuts (34).
(h) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the bonding point(s).
(i) Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the joints of the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33).
(j) Apply a layer of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the fillets.
(4) If the adjustment of the fuel panel access-door (4) is not correct (latches (24) do not close correctly) or if the clearance between the fuel panel access-door (4) and its frame is more than the limit:
(a) Apply sand on the surface of the polyamide shims (40) until the adjustment is correct.
(b) Replace polyamide shims (40) if necessary:
1 Loosen the nuts (44) and remove the bolts (43) and the latch fitting assembly (41).
2 Remove the rivets (42) and discard the polyamide shims (40).
3 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Interfay - (Material No.06ABC1) on the mating surfaces of the new polyamide shims (40).
4 Install the new AIPC 52-42-03-05-565 POLYAMIDE SHIM (40) with the new AIPC 52-42-03-05-563 RIVET (42).
5 Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the joints of the polyamide shims (40).
6 Apply a layer of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the fillets.
7 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the mating surfaces of the latch fitting assembly (41).
8 Install the latch fitting assembly (41) together with the bolts (43) and the nuts (44).
9 Tighten the nuts (44).
10 Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the joints of the latch fitting assy (41).
11 Apply a layer of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the fillets.
12 Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to electrically bond the nuts (44).
(5) Measure the opening and closing loads of the fuel panel access-door (4) with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL.
(6) Make sure that:
(a) The closing load at the center of the fuel panel access-door (4) is between 9 daN (20.2328 lbf) to 12 daN (26.9771 lbf).
(b) The opening load at the aft extremity of the fuel panel access-door (4) is less than 10 daN (22.4809 lbf).
(c) The opening angle of the fuel panel access-door (4) is more than 90 degrees.
Subtask 52-42-18-220-050-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Close the fuel panel access-door (4).
(2) Make sure that:
(a) Clearance J2 is 3 +1 mm or -0 mm (0.1181 +0.0394 in. or +0.0000 in.) for the forward side.
(b) Clearance J2 is 2 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0787 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.) for the aft side.
(c) Clearance J4 is 2 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0787 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).

(f) Out-of-flush clearance J5 is 0 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).
(g) The fuel panel access-door (4) is correctly installed in its frame.
(3) If clearances J2 and J4 are not correct, adjust the counter-fittings:
(a) Remove the nuts (34), the washer (38), the bonding strap (10), the bolts (35), (36) and (37) and the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33).
(b) Put the fuel panel access-door (4) and the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33) in the correct position.
(c) Drill new holes from the fuel panel to the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33) SRM 514211.
(d) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the mating surfaces of the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33).
(e) Install the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33) with the bolts (35), (36) and (37), the bonding strap (10), the washer (38) and the nuts (34).
(f) Make sure that you install the electrical bonding dry.
(g) Tighten the nuts (34).
(h) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the bonding point(s).
(i) Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the joints of the counter-fittings (31), (32) and (33).
(j) Apply a layer of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the fillets.
(4) If the adjustment of the fuel panel access-door (4) is not correct (latches (24) do not close correctly) or if the clearance between the fuel panel access-door (4) and its frame is more than the limit:
(a) Apply sand on the surface of the polyamide shims (40) until the adjustment is correct.
(b) Replace polyamide shims (40) if necessary:
1 Loosen the nuts (44) and remove the bolts (43) and the latch fitting assembly (41).
2 Remove the rivets (42) and discard the polyamide shims (40).
3 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Interfay - (Material No.06ABC1) on the mating surfaces of the new polyamide shims (40).
4 Install the new AIPC 52-42-03-05-565 POLYAMIDE SHIM (40) with the new AIPC 52-42-03-05-563 RIVET (42).
5 Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the joints of the polyamide shims (40).
6 Apply a layer of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the fillets.
7 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the mating surfaces of the latch fitting assembly (41).
8 Install the latch fitting assembly (41) together with the bolts (43) and the nuts (44).
9 Tighten the nuts (44).
10 Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the joints of the latch fitting assy (41).
11 Apply a layer of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the fillets.
12 Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to electrically bond the nuts (44).
(5) Measure the opening and closing loads of the fuel panel access-door (4) with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL.
(6) Make sure that:
(a) The closing load at the center of the fuel panel access-door (4) is between 9 daN (20.2328 lbf) to 12 daN (26.9771 lbf).
(b) The opening load at the aft extremity of the fuel panel access-door (4) is less than 10 daN (22.4809 lbf).
(c) The opening angle of the fuel panel access-door (4) is more than 90 degrees.
C. Check and Adjustment of the Fuel Panel Access-Door
(1) Apply Testing Medium-Gap Measuring Epoxy - (Material No.14CHB1) on the recess of the hooks (21).
(2) Close the fuel panel access-door (4).
(3) Make sure that:
(a) Clearance J2 is 3 -1 mm or +1 mm (0.1181 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.) for the forward side.
(b) Clearance J2 is 2 -1 mm or +1 mm (0.0787 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.) for the aft side.
(c) Clearance J4 is 1.5 +1.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0591 +0.0591 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(d) Out-of-flush clearance J3 is 0 +0.7 mm or -0.7 mm (0.0000 +0.0276 in. or -0.0276 in.).
(e) Out-of-flush clearance J5 is 0 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).
(f) The fuel panel access-door (4) is correctly installed in its frame.
(4) Open the fuel panel access-door (4).
(5) Make sure that clearance J1 between the spacers (26) and the hooks (21) is 0.5 +0.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0197 +0.0197 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(6) Do the adjustment that follows if:
(b) Correct the position of the hooks (21).
(c) If necessary, drill new holes in the support fitting SRM 514211.
(d) Install the bolts (22) and the nuts (23).
(e) Tighten the nuts (23).
(f) Remove the paste from the recess of the hooks (21).
(7) Make sure that the spacers (26) move freely when the fuel panel access-door (4) is open.
(8) Measure the opening and closing loads of the fuel panel access-door (4) with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL.
(9) Make sure that:
(a) The closing load at the center of the fuel panel access-door (4) is between 9 daN (20.2328 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9771 lbf).
(b) The opening load at the forward extremity of the fuel panel access-door (4) is less than 10 daN (22.4809 lbf).
(c) The opening angle of the fuel panel access-door (4) is more than 90 degrees.
5. Close-up(1) Apply Testing Medium-Gap Measuring Epoxy - (Material No.14CHB1) on the recess of the hooks (21).
(2) Close the fuel panel access-door (4).
(3) Make sure that:
(a) Clearance J2 is 3 -1 mm or +1 mm (0.1181 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.) for the forward side.
(b) Clearance J2 is 2 -1 mm or +1 mm (0.0787 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.) for the aft side.
(c) Clearance J4 is 1.5 +1.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0591 +0.0591 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(d) Out-of-flush clearance J3 is 0 +0.7 mm or -0.7 mm (0.0000 +0.0276 in. or -0.0276 in.).
(e) Out-of-flush clearance J5 is 0 +1 mm or -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).
(f) The fuel panel access-door (4) is correctly installed in its frame.
(4) Open the fuel panel access-door (4).
(5) Make sure that clearance J1 between the spacers (26) and the hooks (21) is 0.5 +0.5 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0197 +0.0197 in. or -0.0197 in.).
(6) Do the adjustment that follows if:
- Clearances J2 and J4 and out-of-flush clearances J3 and J5 are not in the tolerances.
- The fuel panel access-door (4) is not correctly installed in its frame:
(b) Correct the position of the hooks (21).
(c) If necessary, drill new holes in the support fitting SRM 514211.
(d) Install the bolts (22) and the nuts (23).
(e) Tighten the nuts (23).
(f) Remove the paste from the recess of the hooks (21).
(7) Make sure that the spacers (26) move freely when the fuel panel access-door (4) is open.
(8) Measure the opening and closing loads of the fuel panel access-door (4) with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL.
