A. Deactivation of the Air Intake Flap
(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors 7527VC-A and 7527VC.
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector 7527VC-A from the connector 7527VC.
(b) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector 7527VC.
(c) Attach the electrical connector 7527VC-A to the air intake structure with a TIE WRAP.
(2) Open the air intake flap manually if it is not fully extended.
(a) Turn the manual drive shaft on the air intake flap-actuator 4015KM until the air intake flap is fully extended.
(3) Make a temporary connector with a jumper lead to close the ''FLAP OPEN'' and ''FLAP CLOSE'' control circuit between the ECB 59KD and the air intake-flap actuator 4015KM.
(b) Hold the jumper lead in position on the connector with a BACKSHELL ABS0638A14.
(c) Paint the temporary connector red with Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) to make sure that it is easily identified.
(4) Connect the temporary connector to the connector 7527VC-A.
(5) Make an entry in the logbook.
5. Close-up(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors 7527VC-A and 7527VC.
NOTE: Make sure that the torque necessary to turn the manual drive shaft is not more than 0.3 m.daN (26.55 lbf.in) for the actuator 43-1-1100 Amendment 1, for the actuator 106-1-1100-02 not more than 0.4 m.daN (35.40 lbf.in). Be careful when you come to the mechanical stop at the end of travel. If you turn the manual drive shaft with more torque than the limit, damage to the air intake flap actuator will occur.
NOTE: On the actuator 43-1-1100-Amendment 1, 47 turns are required for one full travel of the air intake flap actuator. On the actuator 106-1-1100 -02, 87 turns are required.
(b) Make sure that the air intake flap is fully extended. (3) Make a temporary connector with a jumper lead to close the ''FLAP OPEN'' and ''FLAP CLOSE'' control circuit between the ECB 59KD and the air intake-flap actuator 4015KM.
NOTE: Refer to ESPM 2044110, AIPC 24-92-04-67 and AIPC 24-92-04-72 for information about electrical connector identifications.
(a) Connect a JUMPER-WIRE between the pins C and D of a CONNECTOR E0052R14B12PNE.
