Removal of the Flush Ring
WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU REMOVE A COMPONENT OF THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, ALWAYS DISINFECT THE PART BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN A PLASTIC BAG, THEN SEAL THE BAG.
DO NOT PUT DOCUMENTS INTO THE PLASTIC BAG. SEAL THE BAG FIRST,THEN ATTACH THE DOCUMENTS TO IT.
THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION OR ILLNESS. CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.
(3) Close the manual shut-off valve in each lavatory.
(4) Push the flush switch one time in each lavatory to remove the remaining water from the toilet assembly.
Subtask 38-31-66-670-051-A (1) Make sure that the water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.
(3) Close the manual shut-off valve in each lavatory.
(4) Push the flush switch one time in each lavatory to remove the remaining water from the toilet assembly.
C. Disinfection of the Toilet Assembly
(1) Spray Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) into the toilet assembly.
(2) Put 0.25 l (0.1 USgal) of Deodorant-Aircraft Toilets - - (Material No.11GCA1) in the toilet bowl and flush.
Subtask 38-31-66-865-050-A (1) Spray Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) into the toilet assembly.
(2) Put 0.25 l (0.1 USgal) of Deodorant-Aircraft Toilets - - (Material No.11GCA1) in the toilet bowl and flush.

E. Get Access
(1) Open the applicable lavatory door.
(2) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Open the applicable lavatory door.
(2) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
Subtask 38-31-66-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Flush Ring Assembly
(1) Push the fitting (14) in and remove the vent tube (2) from the anti-siphon valve (13).
(2) Unlock the clamp (5).
(3) Disengage the quick release fasteners (8).
(4) Disengage the front clip (9).
(5) Lift the flush ring assembly (1) from the pedestal (3).
(6) Remove the clamp (5).
(7) Remove and discard the O-ring (4).
(8) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on all the disconnected line end(s).
(9) Remove the nuts (10), the screws (6) and the washers (7).
(10) Remove the anti-siphon valve (13) from the flush ring (11).
(11) Remove and discard the O-ring (12).
(12) Remove the flush ring (11).
(13) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on all the disconnected end(s) of the anti-siphon valve (13).
Subtask 38-31-66-020-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Push the fitting (14) in and remove the vent tube (2) from the anti-siphon valve (13).

(10) Remove the anti-siphon valve (13) from the flush ring (11).
(11) Remove and discard the O-ring (12).
(12) Remove the flush ring (11).
(13) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on all the disconnected end(s) of the anti-siphon valve (13).
A. Removal of the Flush Ring Assembly
(1) Remove the nuts (5), the screws (6) and the washers (7).
(2) Remove the flush ring (1) from the bowl (3).
(3) Remove and discard the O-ring (2).
(4) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on the open end of the anti-siphon valve (4).
Subtask 38-31-66-020-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the nuts (5), the screws (6) and the washers (7).
(2) Remove the flush ring (1) from the bowl (3).
(3) Remove and discard the O-ring (2).
(4) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on the open end of the anti-siphon valve (4).
A. Removal of the Flush Ring Assembly
(1) For Configuration 1:
(a) Remove the nuts (5), the washers (4) and the bolts (6).
(b) Remove the flush ring (7) from the bowl (3).
(c) Remove and discard the O-ring (1).
(d) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on the open end of the anti-siphon valve (2).
(2) For Configuration 2:
(a) Remove the nuts (13), the washers (12) and the bolts (14).
(b) Remove the flush ring (15) from the ball check fitting (9).
(c) Remove the ball check fitting (9).
(d) Remove and discard the O-rings (8).
(e) Remove the flush ring (15) from the bowl (11).
(f) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on the open end of the anti-siphon valve (10).
(1) For Configuration 1:
(a) Remove the nuts (5), the washers (4) and the bolts (6).
(b) Remove the flush ring (7) from the bowl (3).
(c) Remove and discard the O-ring (1).
(d) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on the open end of the anti-siphon valve (2).
(2) For Configuration 2:
(a) Remove the nuts (13), the washers (12) and the bolts (14).
(b) Remove the flush ring (15) from the ball check fitting (9).
(c) Remove the ball check fitting (9).
(d) Remove and discard the O-rings (8).
(e) Remove the flush ring (15) from the bowl (11).
(f) Put a CAP - BLANKING, PLASTIC on the open end of the anti-siphon valve (10).
