Subtask 35-21-43-860-061-A
Subtask 35-21-43-550-052-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Use GLOVES - COTTON, LINT-FREE, CLEAN when you do work on the oxygen system.
(2) Remove the related emergency oxygen container (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
(3) Put the removed emergency oxygen container (11) on a flat and clean surface.
(4) Open the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11) with the 995000-00 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE.
(a) Clean the oxygen mask (1), the reservoir bag (3) and the supply hose (4) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made most with Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) .
(6) If applicable, fold the pull flag (6), wind the pull flag lanyard (5) around the folded pull flag (6) and then put it into the oxygen mask (1).
(8) Fold the reservoir bag (3) into thirds.
(9) Fold the reservoir bag (3) and put its end with the supply hose (4) into the oxygen mask (1).
(10) Wind the supply hose (4) clockwise in a 50 mm (1.9685 in.) diameter coil.
(11) Make sure that the supply hose (4) is not twisted.
(12) Put the supply hose (4) into the oxygen mask (1).
(13) Make sure that the flow indicator is the last part of the supply hose in the oxygen mask.
(14) Fold the reservoir bag (3) again and put it into the inner space of the wound supply hose (4).
(15) Put the oxygen mask (1) into the emergency oxygen container (11) as shown on the instruction label (12).
(16) If applicable, put the oxygen mask (1) in position on the deployment cradle/ejector strip (9).
(18) Turn the outlet manifold (10) to the position in which the supply hose (4) is away from the door (8).
(19) Make sure that the lanyard (7) is correctly installed and does not catch on the other parts in the emergency oxygen container (11).
(20) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(21) Close the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11):
(b) Push the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11) to lock the latch mechanism.
(22) Install the emergency oxygen container (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
(23) Make sure that the door (8) is flush with the adjacent panels.
(a) If the door (8) is not flush with the adjacent panels:
1 Hold the door (8) in the closed position and use a 995000-00 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE to release the latch hooks of the door (8).
3 If necessary, assemble the oxygen mask assemblies again in the emergency oxygen container (11).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the special precautions when you do work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
(2) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the emergency oxygen system.
4. Procedure(1) Obey the special precautions when you do work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
(2) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the emergency oxygen system.

(2) Put the removed emergency oxygen container (11) on a flat and clean surface.
(3) Engage the pin (12) of the actuator assembly:
(a) Carefully push the pin (12) in vertical direction until you hear click.
(a) Clean the oxygen mask (2), the reservoir bag (1) and the supply hose (4) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) .
(5) Fold the reservoir bag (1) into thirds.
(6) Put the headband (3) into the oxygen mask (2).
(7) Put the reservoir bag (1) into the oxygen mask (2).
(8) For type II oxygen container put the oxygen mask lanyards (10) into the oxygen mask (2).
(9) Wind the supply hose (4) into a 50 mm (1.9685 in.) diameter coil.
(10) Make sure that the supply hose (4) is not twisted.
(11) Install the supply hose retainer (5) on the supply hose (4).
(12) Push the supply hose (4) and the supply hose retainer (5) into the oxygen mask (2).
(13) Make sure that the flow indicator is the last part of the supply hose in the oxygen mask.
(14) Put the oxygen mask (19) into the emergency oxygen container (11) as shown on the instruction label (14).
(15) If applicable, put the oxygen masks (2) in position on the deployment cradle (9).
(a) Turn the outlet manifold (13) to the position, in which the supply hoses (4) are away from door (8).

Subtask 35-21-43-550-052-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE MASK LANYARD FROM THE END WITH THE RELEASE PIN. IF YOU PULL ON THIS END OF THE LANYARD, YOU WILL REMOVE THE RELEASE PIN AND START A FLOW OF OXYGEN WHICH CANNOT BE STOPPED.
(1) Remove the related emergency oxygen container (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001). (2) Put the removed emergency oxygen container (11) on a flat and clean surface.
(3) Engage the pin (12) of the actuator assembly:
(a) Carefully push the pin (12) in vertical direction until you hear click.
NOTE: The pin of actuator assembly stays retracted after it is engaged.
(4) Clean the oxygen mask assemblies. (a) Clean the oxygen mask (2), the reservoir bag (1) and the supply hose (4) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) .
(5) Fold the reservoir bag (1) into thirds.
(6) Put the headband (3) into the oxygen mask (2).
(7) Put the reservoir bag (1) into the oxygen mask (2).
(8) For type II oxygen container put the oxygen mask lanyards (10) into the oxygen mask (2).
(9) Wind the supply hose (4) into a 50 mm (1.9685 in.) diameter coil.
(10) Make sure that the supply hose (4) is not twisted.
(11) Install the supply hose retainer (5) on the supply hose (4).
(12) Push the supply hose (4) and the supply hose retainer (5) into the oxygen mask (2).
(13) Make sure that the flow indicator is the last part of the supply hose in the oxygen mask.
(14) Put the oxygen mask (19) into the emergency oxygen container (11) as shown on the instruction label (14).
(15) If applicable, put the oxygen masks (2) in position on the deployment cradle (9).
NOTE: The deployment cradle is installed in the type II emergency-oxygen-containers:
(16) If applicable, fold the pull flag (7), wind the pull flag lanyard (6) around the folded pull flag (7) and put it between the oxygen mask (19) and the deployment cradle (9). - At entrance areas
- In lavatories
- At galley areas.
NOTE: The emergency oxygen containers with pull flags are installed only in locations where passengers or cabin crew can be in two different positions:
(17) Make sure that the supply hoses (4) are correctly installed. - The entrance areas
- The lavatories
- The sleeper seat.
(a) Turn the outlet manifold (13) to the position, in which the supply hoses (4) are away from door (8).
NOTE: Oxygen generator and door of the emergency oxygen container will not catch the supply hoses if the outlet manifold is in this position.
(b) Make sure that the supply hoses (4) do not catch on other parts in the emergency oxygen container (11). (18) Make sure that the lanyards (10) are correctly installed and do not catch on other parts in the emergency oxygen container (11).
(19) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(20) Install the emergency oxygen container (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
(21) Make sure that the door (8) is flush with the adjacent panels.
(a) If the door (8) is not flush with the adjacent panels:
1 Hold the door (8) in the closed position and use a 995000-00 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE to release the latch hooks of the door (8).
NOTE: You can use alternative tool part number 995000.
2 Make sure that no part of the oxygen mask assembly is caught between the door (8) and the body of the emergency oxygen container (11). 3 If necessary, assemble the mask assemblies again in the emergency oxygen container (11).
(22) Make sure that the distance between the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11) and the adjacent panels is:
- 1 MM (0.04 IN.) for type II emergency oxygen containers
- 2 -0.5 MM or +0 MM (0.08 -0.02 IN. or +0 IN.) for type I emergency oxygen containers.

(2) Remove the related emergency oxygen container (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
(3) Put the removed emergency oxygen container (11) on a flat and clean surface.
(4) Clean the oxygen mask assemblies:
(a) Clean the oxygen mask (1), the reservoir bag (3) and the supply hose (4) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) .
(5) If applicable, wind the pull flag lanyard (5), fold the pull flag (6) and then put it into the oxygen mask (1).
(7) Fold the reservoir bag (3) into thirds on the opposite side of the tube connection.
(8) Put the folded reservoir bag (3) along the outside of the oxygen mask (1).
(9) Put the end of the reservoir bag (3) with the supply hose (4) into the oxygen mask (1).
(10) Wind the supply hose (4) clockwise into the inner space of the oxygen mask (1).
(a) The flow indicator must be the last part of the supply hose (4) in the oxygen mask (1).
(11) Make sure that the supply hose (4) is not twisted.
(12) Put the oxygen mask (1) into the emergency oxygen container (11) as shown on the instruction label (12).
(13) If applicable, put the oxygen masks (1) in position on the ejector strips (9).
(a) Turn the outlet manifold (10) to the position, in which the supply hoses (4) are away from door (8).

(5) If applicable, wind the pull flag lanyard (5), fold the pull flag (6) and then put it into the oxygen mask (1).
NOTE: The emergency oxygen containers with pull flags are only installed in all locations where passengers or cabin crew can be in two different positions:
(6) Put the headband (2) onto the reservoir bag (3). - The entrance areas
- The lavatories
- The sleeper seat.
(7) Fold the reservoir bag (3) into thirds on the opposite side of the tube connection.
(8) Put the folded reservoir bag (3) along the outside of the oxygen mask (1).
(9) Put the end of the reservoir bag (3) with the supply hose (4) into the oxygen mask (1).
(10) Wind the supply hose (4) clockwise into the inner space of the oxygen mask (1).
(a) The flow indicator must be the last part of the supply hose (4) in the oxygen mask (1).
(11) Make sure that the supply hose (4) is not twisted.
(12) Put the oxygen mask (1) into the emergency oxygen container (11) as shown on the instruction label (12).
(13) If applicable, put the oxygen masks (1) in position on the ejector strips (9).
NOTE: The ejector strips can be installed in the type II emergency-oxygen-containers:
(14) Make sure that the supply hoses (4) are correctly installed. - At entrance areas
- In lavatories
- At galley areas.
(a) Turn the outlet manifold (10) to the position, in which the supply hoses (4) are away from door (8).
NOTE: Oxygen generator and door of the emergency oxygen container will not catch the supply hoses if the outlet manifold is in this position.
(b) Make sure that the supply hoses (4) do not catch on other parts in the emergency oxygen container (11). (15) Make sure that the lanyards (7) are correctly installed and do not catch on other parts in the emergency oxygen container (11).

(17) Install the emergency oxygen container (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
(18) Make sure that the door (8) is flush with the adjacent panels.
(a) If the door (8) is not flush with the adjacent panels:
1 Hold the door (8) in the closed position and use a 995000-00 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE to release the latch hook of the door (8).
NOTE: You can use alternative tool part number 995000.
2 Make sure that no part of the oxygen mask assembly is caught between the door (8) and the body of the emergency oxygen container (11). 3 If necessary, assemble the mask assemblies again in the emergency oxygen container (11).
(19) Make sure that the distance between the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11) and the adjacent panels is:
- 1 MM (0.04 IN.) for type II emergency oxygen containers
- 2 -0.5 MM or +0 MM (0.08 -0.02 IN. or +0 IN.) for type I emergency oxygen containers.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE MASK LANYARD FROM THE END WITH THE RELEASE PIN. IF YOU PULL ON THIS END OF THE LANYARD, YOU WILL REMOVE THE RELEASE PIN AND START A FLOW OF OXYGEN WHICH CANNOT BE STOPPED.

(4) Open the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11) with the 995000-00 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE.
NOTE: You can use alternative tool part number 995000.
(5) Clean the oxygen mask assembly: (a) Clean the oxygen mask (1), the reservoir bag (3) and the supply hose (4) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made most with Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) .
(6) If applicable, fold the pull flag (6), wind the pull flag lanyard (5) around the folded pull flag (6) and then put it into the oxygen mask (1).

NOTE: The deployment cradle/ejector strip is installed only in the type II emergency oxygen containers. These containers are installed:

- At the entrance areas.
(18) Turn the outlet manifold (10) to the position in which the supply hose (4) is away from the door (8).
NOTE: The oxygen generator and the door of the emergency oxygen container will not catch the supply hoses if the outlet manifold is in this position.
(a) Make sure that the supply hose (4) does not catch on the other parts in the emergency oxygen container (11). (19) Make sure that the lanyard (7) is correctly installed and does not catch on the other parts in the emergency oxygen container (11).
(20) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(21) Close the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11):
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE TO CLOSE THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER. IF YOU USE TOO MUCH FORCE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LATCH MECHANISM. IF THE LATCH MECHANISM DOES NOT ENGAGE EASILY, MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT IN THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED.
(a) Push the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11) to the closed position. (b) Push the door (8) of the emergency oxygen container (11) to lock the latch mechanism.
(22) Install the emergency oxygen container (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
(23) Make sure that the door (8) is flush with the adjacent panels.
(a) If the door (8) is not flush with the adjacent panels:

(1) Do the operational check of the manual mask release (Ref. AMM TASK 35-23-00-710-001).
