A. Packing of the Oxygen Mask Assemblies in the Emergency Oxygen Containers
(2) Put the removed emergency oxygen container (8) on a flat and clean surface.
(3) For the emergency oxygen container (8) with the actuator assembly pin (12), engage the actuator assembly pin (12) of the actuator assembly:
(a) Carefully push the actuator assembly pin (12) in the vertical direction until you hear a click.
(a) Clean the oxygen masks (1), the reservoir bags (3) and the supply hoses (4) with Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) .
(5) If necessary, wind the pull flag lanyard (5), fold the pull flag (6) and put the pull flag (6) into the oxygen mask (1).
(7) Fold the reservoir bag (3) one time and put the end of the reservoir bag (3) with the supply hose (4) into the oxygen mask (1).
(8) Wind the supply hose (4) clockwise into a 50 mm (1.97 in.) diameter coil.
(9) Make sure that the supply hose (4) is not twisted.
(10) For the oxygen mask (1) with the tubing retainer (9):
(a) Install the tubing retainer (9) on the supply hose (4) that is adjacent to the flow indicator (7):
1 For the oxygen containers of the service channels:
a Put the four coils of the supply hose (4) between the ends of the tubing retainer (9).
2 For the remaining oxygen containers:
a Put the three coils of the supply hose (4) between the ends of the tubing retainer (9).
(11) Put the supply hose (4) into the oxygen mask (1). Make sure that the flow indicator (7) is the last part of the supply hose (4) in the oxygen mask (1).
(12) Fold the reservoir bag (3) again and put it into the inner space of the wound supply hose (4).
(13) Put the oxygen mask (1) into the emergency oxygen container (8).
(14) If applicable, put the oxygen mask (1) in position on the ejector strap (6).
(16) Make sure that the supply hoses (4) are connected to the generator outlet (10).
(17) Turn the outlet manifold (10) to a position where the supply hoses (4) are away from the door (11).
(a) Make sure that the supply hoses (4) are not caught by the oxygen generator and the door (11) of the emergency oxygen container (8) when the outlet manifold is in that position.
(18) Make sure that the supply hoses (4) are not caught on the other parts of the emergency oxygen container (8).
(19) Make sure that the lanyards (5) are connected to the release pin.
(20) Make sure that the lanyards (5) are connected to the oxygen masks (1).
(21) Make sure that the lanyards (5) are free and are not caught on the other parts of the emergency oxygen container (8).
(22) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(a) Before you close the door (11) of the emergency oxygen container (8):
1 Make sure that the lanyards (5), the supply hoses (4) and the oxygen masks (1) are not caught between the door (11) and the structure of the oxygen container (8).
(b) Push the door (11) of the emergency oxygen container (8) that is on the two sides of the test button with your hand to the closed position.
(c) Make sure that the latch mechanism is engaged correctly and fully locked into the door assembly.
(e) Make sure that there is no space between the box assembly and the door assembly.
Subtask 35-21-43-550-050-F CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE MASK LANYARD FROM THE END WITH THE RELEASE PIN. IF YOU PULL ON THIS END OF THE LANYARD, YOU WILL REMOVE THE RELEASE PIN AND START A FLOW OF OXYGEN WHICH CANNOT BE STOPPED.
(1) Use a GLOVES - COTTON, LINT-FREE, CLEAN before you start work on the oxygen system.
NOTE: The actuator assembly pin (12) of the actuator assembly stays retracted after it is engaged.
(4) Clean the oxygen mask assemblies as follows:(a) Clean the oxygen masks (1), the reservoir bags (3) and the supply hoses (4) with Disinfectant and cleaner-Oxygen Mask - - (Material No.11CKA1) .
(5) If necessary, wind the pull flag lanyard (5), fold the pull flag (6) and put the pull flag (6) into the oxygen mask (1).
NOTE: The emergency oxygen containers with the pull flags are installed in all the locations where the passengers or the cabin crew stay in different positions:
(6) Fold the reservoir bag (3) into thirds and stow the headband (2) as shown in the related illustration.- The entrance areas (where the cabin crew and the passengers stay)
- The lavatories (where the passengers stay)
- The sleeper seat (where the passengers stay).

(12) Fold the reservoir bag (3) again and put it into the inner space of the wound supply hose (4).
(13) Put the oxygen mask (1) into the emergency oxygen container (8).
(14) If applicable, put the oxygen mask (1) in position on the ejector strap (6).
NOTE: The ejector straps are installed only in the emergency oxygen containers in:
(15) Do steps (5) to (14) for the packing of the remaining oxygen masks (1).- The entrance areas
- The lavatories
- The galleys.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE TO CLOSE THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER. IF YOU USE TOO MUCH FORCE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LATCH MECHANISM. IF THE LATCH MECHANISM DOES NOT ENGAGE EASILY, MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT IN THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED.
(23) Close the door (11) of the emergency oxygen container (8):(a) Before you close the door (11) of the emergency oxygen container (8):
