A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear.
Subtask 32-22-11-010-054-A
B. Get Access
   (1) Open the nose landing-gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 123.
   (3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-22-11-020-054-B
A. Removal of the NLG Main-Door Seals
   (1) Remove the nuts (1) and the bolts (21).
   (2) Remove the seal retainer assembly (27), the seal (26) and the lightning arrester strip (23).
   (3) Remove the screws (20) and the seal retainer assembly (25).
   (4) Remove the seal (22).
   (5) Remove the screws (18) and the seal retainer assembly (24).
   (6) Remove the seal (19).
   (7) Remove the screws (17).
   (8) Remove the screws (15) and the seal retainer assembly (7).
   (9) Remove the seal (14).
   (10) Remove the screws (10) and the seal retainer assembly (6).
   (11) Remove the seals (9) and (12).
   (12) Remove the screws (13) and the seal retainer assembly (2).
   (13) Remove the seal (3) and the lightning arrester strip (8).
   (14) Remove the screws (11) and the seal retainer assembly (4).
   (15) Remove the seal (5).

B. Installation of the NLG Main-Door Seals
   (1) Use the CLOTH-EMERY, FINE to remove the remaining sealant from the door surfaces.
   (2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the door surfaces where the seals (3), (5), (9), (12), (14), (19), (22) and (26) touch.
   (3) Put the seal (5) and the seal retainer assembly (4) in position.
   (4) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (5) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (5) Install the screws (11) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Put the lightning arrester strip (8), the seal (3) and the retainer assembly (2) in position.
   (7) Make sure that the distance between the end of the lightning arrester strip (8) and the edge of the door is 2 mm (0.0787 in.) .
   (8) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (3) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (9) Install the screws (13) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (10) Put the seals (9) and (12) and the seal retainer assembly (6) in position.
   (11) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (9) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (12) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (12) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (13) Install the screws (10) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (14) Put the seal (14) and the seal retainer assembly (7) in position.
   (15) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (14) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (16) Install the screws (15) and (17) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (17) Put the seal (19) and the seal retainer assembly (24) in position.
   (18) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (19) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (19) Install the screws (18) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (20) Put the seal (22) and the seal retainer assembly (25) in position.
   (21) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (22) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (22) Install the screws (20) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (23) Put the lightning arrester strip (23), the seal (26), and the seal retainer assembly (27) in position.
   (24) Make sure that the distance between the end of the lightning arrester strip (23) and the edge of the door is 2 mm (0.0787 in.) .
   (25) Install the bolts (21) and the nuts (1).
   (26) TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
Subtask 32-22-11-420-056-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the NLG Main-Door Seals
   (1) Use the CLOTH-EMERY, FINE to remove the remaining sealant from the door surfaces.
   (2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the door surfaces where the seals (3), (5), (9), (12), (14), (19), (22) and (26) touch.
   (3) Put the seal (5) and the seal retainer assembly (4) in position.
   (4) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (5) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (5) Install the screws (11) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Put the lightning arrester strip (8), the seal (3) and the retainer assembly (2) in position.
   (7) Make sure that the distance between the end of the lightning arrester strip (8) and the edge of the door is 2 mm (0.0787 in.).
   (8) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (3) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (9) Install the screws (13) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (10) Put the seals (9) and (12) and the seal retainer assembly (6) in position.
   (11) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (9) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (12) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (12) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (13) Install the screws (10) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (14) Put the seal (14) and the seal retainer assembly (7) in position.
   (15) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (14) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (16) Install the screws (15), the screws (17) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (17) Put the seal (19) and the seal retainer assembly (24) in position.
   (18) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (19) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (19) Install the screws (18) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (20) Put the seal (22) and the seal retainer assembly (25) in position.
   (21) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (22) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (22) Install the screws (20) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (23) Put the lightning arrester strip (23), the seal (26), and the seal retainer assembly (27) in position.
   (24) Make sure that the distance between the end of the lightning arrester strip (23) and the edge of the door is 2 mm (0.0787 in.).
   (25) Install the bolts (21) and the nuts (1).
   (26) TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 0.21 and 0.18 m.daN (18.58 and 15.93 lbf.in ) T.

B. Installation of the NLG Main-Door Seals
   (1) Use the CLOTH-EMERY, FINE to remove the remaining sealant from the door surfaces.

   (5) Install the screws (11) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Put the lightning arrester strip (8), the seal (3) and the retainer assembly (2) in position.
   (7) Make sure that the distance between the end of the lightning arrester strip (8) and the edge of the door is 2 mm (0.0787 in.).
   (8) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (3) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (9) Install the screws (13) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (10) Put the seals (9) and (12), and the seal retainer assembly (6) in position.
   (11) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (9) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (12) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (12) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (13) Install the screws (10) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (14) Put the seal (14) and the seal retainer assembly (7) in position.
   (15) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (14) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (16) Install the screws (15) and (17) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (17) Put the seal (19) and the seal retainer assembly (24) in position.
   (18) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (19) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (19) Install the screws (18) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (20) Put the seal (22) and the seal retainer assembly (25) in position.
   (21) Make sure that the distance between the end of the seal (22) and the edge of the door is 10 mm (0.3937 in.) +/- 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.).
   (22) Install the screws (20) and TORQUE them to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
   (23) Put the lightning arrester strip (23), the seal (26), and the seal retainer assembly (27) in position.
   (24) Make sure that the distance between the end of the lightning arrester strip (23) and the edge of the door is 2 mm (0.0787 in.).
   (25) Install the bolts (21) and the nuts (1).
   (26) TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 0.12 and 0.10 m.daN (10.62 and 8.85 lbf.in ) T.

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the access platform(s).
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

B. Close Access
   (1) Close the nose landing-gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
