Subtask 32-22-00-941-052-A

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the panel 400VU:

make sure that the landing-gear normal control-lever is in the DOWN position
put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to use this lever.

(2) On the panel 110VU:

make sure that the free-fall control handle is in the normal position.

B. Get Access

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.

(1) Open the main doors of the nose gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the D23080000 PIN-GROUND LOCK,NLG or MZ23080000 PIN-LOCKING as an alternative is in position.
(3) Make sure that the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR is in position.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-22-00-210-053-A

A. Visual Inspection
(1) Do a visual inspection of the rotating rod.
(a) Make sure that:

The gimbal assembly is not damaged
The teflon locating ring is in the correct condition.

5. Close-up
Subtask 32-22-00-410-050-A

A. Close access.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the main doors of the nose gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).

B. Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
