Preparation of the A/C for flight without one or two NLG Aft Door Assy

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-22-00-010-053-A

A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the NLG doors.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-22-00-020-052-A

A. Removal of the NLG Aft Doors and Attaching Parts
(1) Remove the NLG aft doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-13-000-001).
(2) Remove the NLG rotating rods (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-16-000-001).
(3) Retain all the attaching parts from the doors and the rotating rods.

NOTE: The hinge point attachment bolts must not stay on the aircraft.

(4) Disconnect and retain all the bonding straps.

NOTE: The NLG leg door can be missing or not.

5. Close-up
Subtask 32-22-00-860-055-A

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(2) Remove the access platform.
(3) In the cockpit, install a temporary placard to tell the crew that the NLG aft doors are removed.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
