Removal of the Forestay Bearing

A. Get Access
   (1) Remove the drag strut assembly of the nose landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-16-000-002).
   (2) Open the access doors 812 and 822.
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 123.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-21-24-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Forestay Bearing
   (1) Remove the cotter pins (7) and discard them.
   (2) Remove the nuts (8) and the washers (6).
   (3) Remove the cover (5). Remove the O-rings (3) and (4) and discard them.
   (4) Remove the bolts (1).
   (5) Remove the swivel bearings (2).
Subtask 32-21-24-020-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Forestay Bearing
   (1) Remove the cotter pins (2) and discard them.
   (2) Remove the nuts (1), the washers (3) and the bolts (8).
   (3) Remove the protective cover (7), the O-rings (5) and (6) and discard them.
   (4) Remove the swivel bearing (4).
