C. Get Access
(1) Waste Water Heated Drain Nipple (21DV).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the waste-water service-panel and open the access door 172AR.
(3) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) Set the CARGO COMP LT switch 8LU to ON.
(5) Remove the partition 162DW to get access (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003):
Subtask 30-72-51-613-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL 4. Procedure(1) Waste Water Heated Drain Nipple (21DV).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the waste-water service-panel and open the access door 172AR.
(3) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) Set the CARGO COMP LT switch 8LU to ON.
(5) Remove the partition 162DW to get access (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003):
- To the waste drain panel
- To the terminal block 7585VT.
Subtask 30-72-51-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Waste Water Heated Drain Nipple
(1) Remove and discard the cable ties of the electrical harness.
(2) Disconnect the electrical contacts pins from the terminal block 162DW (12) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(3) Disconnect the waste flush pipe (1) from the drain nipple (5).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the screws (8), the spacers (9), the washers (10) and the nuts (11).
(6) Remove the cap assy (7) from the drain nipple (5).
(7) Remove the screws (6), the washers (3) and nuts (2) from the drain nipple (5).
(8) Remove the sealant around the drain nipple (5) carefully with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(9) Remove the drain nipple (5) and the insulation plate (4) from the waste-water service panel.
(1) Remove and discard the cable ties of the electrical harness.
(2) Disconnect the electrical contacts pins from the terminal block 162DW (12) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(3) Disconnect the waste flush pipe (1) from the drain nipple (5).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the screws (8), the spacers (9), the washers (10) and the nuts (11).
(6) Remove the cap assy (7) from the drain nipple (5).
(7) Remove the screws (6), the washers (3) and nuts (2) from the drain nipple (5).
(8) Remove the sealant around the drain nipple (5) carefully with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(9) Remove the drain nipple (5) and the insulation plate (4) from the waste-water service panel.
