Servicing of the Toilet System
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.
WARNING:
AFTER YOU DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, DO NOT DO SERVICING OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) Put the CART - SERVICING, TOILET in position.
(3) Open access door 172AR.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.

Subtask 12-16-38-680-050-E
A. Draining of the System
(2) Connect the toilet service-vehicle hose-adapter and the 4-inch diameter drain hose to the toilet drain connection.
(3) Push the PUSH TO OPEN lever (1).
(4) Move the drain valve control-handle 3341MM from the CLOSE to the OPEN position.
Subtask 12-16-38-170-050-A CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE VACUUM PRESSURE IS NOT MORE THAN 6 PSI (0,4 BAR) MAXIMUM, IF YOU USE A VACUUM OPERATED TOILET SERVICE VEHICLE. A HIGHER VACUUM PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VACUUM TOILET SYSTEM.
(1) Open the cap of the toilet drain connection and the fill and rinse connection. (2) Connect the toilet service-vehicle hose-adapter and the 4-inch diameter drain hose to the toilet drain connection.
(3) Push the PUSH TO OPEN lever (1).
(4) Move the drain valve control-handle 3341MM from the CLOSE to the OPEN position.
NOTE: The waste will drain.
B. Flushing of the Toilet System
(1) Connect the 1-inch flush/fill hose of the toilet service vehicle to the fill and rinse connection(s).
(2) Make sure that drain valve control-handle(s) 3341MM is (are) in the OPEN position.
(3) Operate the toilet service vehicle.
(4) Flush the waste tank with a maximum of 57 l (15 USgal) of water with a pressure value between 2.40 bar (35 psi) and 3.45 bar (50 psi).
(6) Stop the operation of the toilet service vehicle.
(7) Turn and push toilet drain-valve control-handle(s) 3341MM to the CLOSE position.
Subtask 12-16-38-615-051-F (1) Connect the 1-inch flush/fill hose of the toilet service vehicle to the fill and rinse connection(s).
(2) Make sure that drain valve control-handle(s) 3341MM is (are) in the OPEN position.
(3) Operate the toilet service vehicle.
(4) Flush the waste tank with a maximum of 57 l (15 USgal) of water with a pressure value between 2.40 bar (35 psi) and 3.45 bar (50 psi).
NOTE: The time necessary to flush the waste tank is approximately 90 seconds.
NOTE: The rinse function will not be satisfactory if you flush the waste tank with a pressure value lower than 2.40 bar (35 psi).
(5) Feel the drain hose with your hands to make sure that the waste is fully drained.(6) Stop the operation of the toilet service vehicle.
(7) Turn and push toilet drain-valve control-handle(s) 3341MM to the CLOSE position.
C. Cleaning of the Waste Service Panel
(1) Stop the toilet service vehicle.
(3) Make sure that there are no leaks from the drain connection.
(6) Let the hose connection drain fully.
(7) Close the cap of the fill and rinse connection.
(8) Clean all the parts of the service panel and the adjacent area with clear water. This is to remove the contamination that can cause corrosion.
(9) Dry the service panel and the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
5. Close-up(1) Stop the toilet service vehicle.
WARNING:
AFTER YOU DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, DO NOT DO SERVICING OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
(2) Disconnect the 4 inch drain hose and the hose adapter. (3) Make sure that there are no leaks from the drain connection.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LEVER ON THE DRAIN CAP IS FULLY CLOSED AND TOUCHES THE DRAIN CAP. IF IT IS NOT FULLY CLOSED, STRUCTURAL DAMAGE CAN OCCUR TO THE SERVICE DOOR.
(4) Close the drain cap (2). NOTE: When you close the drain cap (2), the inner flap will close and lock automatically.
(5) Disconnect the 1 inch fill and rinse hose connection.(6) Let the hose connection drain fully.
(7) Close the cap of the fill and rinse connection.
(8) Clean all the parts of the service panel and the adjacent area with clear water. This is to remove the contamination that can cause corrosion.
(9) Dry the service panel and the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

(2) Close access door 172AR.
