A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is set in position at potable-water service panel 171AL.
(3) Make sure that the panel is openend and the drain-control handle is set to the NORM position.
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is set in position at the aft cargo-compartment door.
(5) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is openend (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that partition 161DW to get access to the thermostat and terminal block 7510VT (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 30-72-11-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is set in position at potable-water service panel 171AL.
(3) Make sure that the panel is openend and the drain-control handle is set to the NORM position.
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is set in position at the aft cargo-compartment door.
(5) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is openend (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that partition 161DW to get access to the thermostat and terminal block 7510VT (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 30-72-11-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Thermostat
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Put the thermostat-housing (6) on the stud (5).
(3) Put the threaded-sleeve (7) in position.
(4) TORQUE the threaded-sleeve (7) to between 0.06 and 0.05 m.daN (5.31 and 4.42 lbf.in )

(6) Install the thermostat-housing cover (3) with the srews (4), the washers (2) and the nuts (1).
(8) Install the electrical wires with the TIE WRAP(S) on the bracket.
Subtask 30-72-11-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Put the thermostat-housing (6) on the stud (5).
(3) Put the threaded-sleeve (7) in position.
(4) TORQUE the threaded-sleeve (7) to between 0.06 and 0.05 m.daN (5.31 and 4.42 lbf.in )
. NOTE: A threaded overlap is not required.
(5) Secure the threaded-sleeve (7) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Low strength Low viscosity - (Material No.05BAB1) . (6) Install the thermostat-housing cover (3) with the srews (4), the washers (2) and the nuts (1).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(7) Connect the electrical connections (8) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20 to terminal block 7510VT. (8) Install the electrical wires with the TIE WRAP(S) on the bracket.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Install partition 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(2) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) Make sure that the drain-control handle is in the NORM position and close potable-water service panel 171AL.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 30-72-11-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install partition 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(2) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) Make sure that the drain-control handle is in the NORM position and close potable-water service panel 171AL.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
