Removal of the Rain-Repellent Check Valve

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS RELATED TO THE WEATHER RADAR ARE OPENED, SAFETIED AND TAGGED.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
NOTE: If there is leakage of FORALKYL 2211, you can smell a pine odor.

A. Cleaning Instructions
   (1) Make sure that the fluid does not stay on the aircraft furnishings.
If the fluid gets on the aircraft furnishings, clean with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .

C. Preparation
   (1) Remove the protective cap from the drain valve.
   (2) Connect a HOSE - PLASTIC to the drain valve of the rain-repellent fluid gage assy.
   (3) Put the hose outlet in a CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL).

D. Depressurization of the System
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE HOSE OUTLET IS IN THE CONTAINER.
   (1) Push the purge pushbutton of the fluid gage to release the pressure from the system.
   (2) Disconnect the hose from the drain valve.
   (3) Install the protective cap on the drain valve.

E. Remove the Rain-Repellent Fluid Can (Ref. AMM TASK 30-45-00-600-001).

F. Get Access
   (1) Loosen the four quarter-turn fasteners.
   (2) Remove the panel 211LW.
4. Procedure
Subtask 30-45-46-020-052-A
A. Removal of the Check Valve
   (1) Disconnect the line (3) from the union (2).
   (2) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (3) Remove the check valve (1) and its union (2).
   (4) Remove and discard the O-ring (5) from the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle.
   (5) Remove the union (2) from the check valve (1).
   (6) Remove the O-ring (4) and discard it.
   (7) Put a blanking plug on the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle.
