Installation of the Spray Nozzle
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS RELATED TO THE WEATHER RADAR ARE OPENED, SAFETIED AND TAGGED.
1. Reason for the JobNOTE: The removal/installation procedure of the spray nozzle is done from out of the aircraft.
The spray nozzles are symmetrical but not interchangeable :
The procedure is the same for CAPT and F/O spray nozzles. The spray nozzles are symmetrical but not interchangeable :
- The CAPT spray nozzle is identified with red paint mark.
- The F/O spray nozzle is identified with yellow paint mark.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position.

A. Make sure that the four holes in the nozzle are not clogged.
Subtask 30-45-44-420-050-A B. Installation of the Nozzle
(1) Install the nozzle (1), the nut (2) and a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-060 O-RING (3) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-100 O-RING (3).
(2) Tighten the nut (2) while you prevent movement of the nozzle (1). Do not fully tighten the nut (2) at this time.
(3) Hold the nut (4) and fully tighten the nut (2).
5. Close-up(1) Install the nozzle (1), the nut (2) and a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-060 O-RING (3) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-100 O-RING (3).
(2) Tighten the nut (2) while you prevent movement of the nozzle (1). Do not fully tighten the nut (2) at this time.
(3) Hold the nut (4) and fully tighten the nut (2).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
