Subtask 30-21-49-860-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.

A. Clean the Ends of the Duct
(2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist withV01-076 Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Technical grade to clean the ends of the duct.
Subtask 30-21-49-420-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Remove the applicable covers/caps/plugs from the openings. (2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with
B. Installation of the Anti-ice Duct No. 3
(1) Put the duct (1) and a new AIPC 30-21-49-80-130 SEAL (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010) on the engine in the correct position for installation.
(a) Make sure that the seal (4) is installed correctly between duct No. 3 (1) and duct No. 4 (5).
(b) Make sure that the t-bolt (25) on the coupling (2) is installed at a 20 degree angle from the top of the duct so that it does not touch the fan cowl door hinge when closed.
(3) Tighten the couplings sufficiently to hold the duct in position.

(4) Connect the bearing link assembly to the duct:
(a) Attach the bearing link assembly to the duct (1) with the bolt (14), the bush (15), the washer (16) and the nut (17).
(b) Tighten the nut sufficiently to hold the bearing link assembly in position.

(5) Connect the turnbuckle link assembly to the duct:
(a) Attach the turnbuckle link assembly to the duct (1) with the bolt (14), the bush (15), the washer (16) and the nut (17).
(b) Tighten the nut sufficiently to hold the turnbuckle link assembly in position.

Subtask 30-21-49-820-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 30-21-49-420-090-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL 5. Close-up(1) Put the duct (1) and a new AIPC 30-21-49-80-130 SEAL (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010) on the engine in the correct position for installation.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THE COUPLINGS DO NOT TOUCH ADJACENT COMPONENTS OR FAN COWL DOORS (WHEN CLOSED). DAMAGE TO COMPONENTS CAN OCCUR.
(2) Connect the duct with the couplings (2) and (3). (a) Make sure that the seal (4) is installed correctly between duct No. 3 (1) and duct No. 4 (5).
