B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 30-21-49-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

D. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.

F. Open the thrust reverser cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040):

Subtask 30-21-49-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Muscle Pressure Tubes and Hoses
(1) Disconnect the forward hose (40) from the muscle tube (20) and from the anti-ice valve 4000DN. Remove the hose (40).
(a) Remove the bolts (25), the washers (30), the nuts (35), and the clamps (45) (two locations) that attach the forward muscle tube (20) to the forward anti-ice duct.
(b) Remove the bulkhead nut (10) and the washer (15) that connect the muscle tube (20) to the forward anti-ice duct support bracket.
(4) Remove the aft muscle pressure tube (70).
(a) Remove the bolt (50), the nut (20) and the clamp (25) from the bracket at engine flange STA 199.
(b) Remove the bolt (25) and the nut (35) that attach the clamp (45) and the clamp (65) (on the drain tube) to the bracket at engine flange STA 199.
(d) Disconnect the aft muscle-tube (70) coupling nut from the elbow (75) at the fireshield and remove the tube.
(5) Disconnect the upper muscle-tube (55) coupling nut from the elbow (75) on the fireshield and the union (50) on the pneumatic duct. Remove the tube (55).
(6) Remove the bolt (80), the washer (85) and the clamp (90) that attach the hose assembly (95) to the bracket on the fireshield.
(7) Disconnect the flexible hose assembly (95) coupling nuts from the elbow (75) on the fireshield and the union (50) on the pneumatic duct.
(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on all of the disconnected hoses and tubes.
(9) Put protective covers on the union on the anti-ice valve, the elbow on the fireshield, and the union on the pneumatic duct.
(1) Disconnect the forward hose (40) from the muscle tube (20) and from the anti-ice valve 4000DN. Remove the hose (40).
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the union on the valve and the fitting on the tube when you loosen the coupling nuts on the hose.
(2) Disconnect the aft hose (5) from the forward muscle tube (20) and the aft muscle tube (70). Remove the hose (5). NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the fitting on the forward tube and the fitting on the aft tube when you loosen the coupling nuts on the hose.
(3) Remove the forward muscle pressure tube (20). (a) Remove the bolts (25), the washers (30), the nuts (35), and the clamps (45) (two locations) that attach the forward muscle tube (20) to the forward anti-ice duct.
(b) Remove the bulkhead nut (10) and the washer (15) that connect the muscle tube (20) to the forward anti-ice duct support bracket.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the fitting on the forward tube when you loosen the bulkhead nut.
(c) Remove the tube (20). (4) Remove the aft muscle pressure tube (70).
(a) Remove the bolt (50), the nut (20) and the clamp (25) from the bracket at engine flange STA 199.
(b) Remove the bolt (25) and the nut (35) that attach the clamp (45) and the clamp (65) (on the drain tube) to the bracket at engine flange STA 199.
NOTE: Loosely install the bolt (25) and nut (35) in the clamp (65) and tighten them with your hand.
(c) Remove the bolts (25), the washers (30), the nuts (35), and clamps (45) (two locations) from the engine-tubes fairlead brackets. (d) Disconnect the aft muscle-tube (70) coupling nut from the elbow (75) at the fireshield and remove the tube.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the elbow on the fireshield when you loosen the coupling nut on the tube.
(5) Disconnect the upper muscle-tube (55) coupling nut from the elbow (75) on the fireshield and the union (50) on the pneumatic duct. Remove the tube (55).
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the elbow at the fireshield and the union on the pneumatic duct when you loosen the coupling nuts on the tube.
(6) Remove the bolt (80), the washer (85) and the clamp (90) that attach the hose assembly (95) to the bracket on the fireshield.
(7) Disconnect the flexible hose assembly (95) coupling nuts from the elbow (75) on the fireshield and the union (50) on the pneumatic duct.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the elbow on the fireshield and the union on the pneumatic duct when you loosen the coupling nuts on the flexible hose assembly.
(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on all of the disconnected hoses and tubes.
(9) Put protective covers on the union on the anti-ice valve, the elbow on the fireshield, and the union on the pneumatic duct.
