Removal of the Top Case Drain Hose/Tube Assembly
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

Subtask 29-13-49-860-073-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002)
(2) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
Subtask 29-13-49-941-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002)
(2) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 198CB.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the top case drain hose/tube (20) connection to the hydraulic filter assembly to collect the remaining fluid.
Subtask 29-13-49-010-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
- put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the top case drain hose/tube (20) connection to the hydraulic filter assembly to collect the remaining fluid.
C. Get Access
(1) Open the left fan-cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
open the door 447AL.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.

(a) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
open the door 447AL.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.

Subtask 29-13-49-020-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Top Case Drain Hose/Tube Assembly
(1) Disconnect the case drain hose/tube (20) from the hydraulic filter assembly and let the fluid flow in the container.
(3) Remove the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the clamp (15) that attach the case drain hose/tube (20) to the higher mid channel.
(4) Remove the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the clamp (15) that attach the case drain hose/tube (20) to the higher bracket.
(5) Disconnect the pressure relief valve tube from the tee-fitting on the case drain hose/tube (20).
(7) Remove the case drain hose/tube (20) from the engine.
(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the case drain hose/tube (20), the union in the filter assembly, the pressure relief valve tube and the fitting on the fluid disconnect panel.
(1) Disconnect the case drain hose/tube (20) from the hydraulic filter assembly and let the fluid flow in the container.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the union on the filter assembly when you loosen the coupling nut on the case drain hose/tube (20).
(2) Remove the bolt (25), the washer (10) and the clamp (15) that attach the case drain hose/tube (20) to the lower mid channel. (3) Remove the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the clamp (15) that attach the case drain hose/tube (20) to the higher mid channel.
(4) Remove the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the clamp (15) that attach the case drain hose/tube (20) to the higher bracket.
(5) Disconnect the pressure relief valve tube from the tee-fitting on the case drain hose/tube (20).
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the flats on the tee-fitting when you loosen the coupling nut on the pressure relief valve tube.
(6) Disconnect the case drain hose/tube (20) from the fluid disconnect panel at the top of the engine. (7) Remove the case drain hose/tube (20) from the engine.
(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the case drain hose/tube (20), the union in the filter assembly, the pressure relief valve tube and the fitting on the fluid disconnect panel.
