Visual Inspection of the Hydraulic Hoses and Tubes
WARNING:
DO NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR EYES OR IN YOUR MOUTH. HYDRAULIC FLUID IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY. FLUSH HYDRAULIC FLUID FROM YOUR EYES, MOUTH OR SKIN WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOU GET HYDRAULIC FLUID IN YOUR EYES OR MOUTH.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. ANY UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
Subtask 29-11-49-941-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 197CB.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:

- put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.

A. Preparation before Examination
(1) Clean the hydraulic tubes
(a) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean the tubes.
(b) Dry the tubes with a clean lint free cloth.
Subtask 29-11-49-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the hydraulic tubes
(a) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean the tubes.
(b) Dry the tubes with a clean lint free cloth.
B. Examine the hydraulic tubes with the LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION and the MIRROR - INSPECTION
(1) Examine the hydraulic tubes for correct attachment.
(a) If the tubes are loose, examine these items for damage, wear and loss of torque:
1 The attachment bolts.
2 The attachment clips.
3 The wire that safeties the connections.
4 The tube connection nuts and the unions.
5 The attachment brackets.
(b) If one (some) of the items has (have) damage, wear or loss of torque, reject it (them).
(2) Examine the hydraulic tubes connections for leaks. No leaks are permitted.
(a) If you find leaks:
1 Examine the attachment bolts and the tube connection nuts for loss of torque.
2 If there is a loss of torque examine the bolts and the tube connection nuts for damage and wear.
3 If you find damage or wear, reject it (them).
(3) Examine the general condition of the hydraulic tubes
(a) Examine the tubes for cracks, dents and damage
1 If the tube(s) has (have) cracks, reject it (them).
2 If the tube(s) has (have) dents or damage, reject it (them).
5. Close-up(1) Examine the hydraulic tubes for correct attachment.
(a) If the tubes are loose, examine these items for damage, wear and loss of torque:
1 The attachment bolts.
2 The attachment clips.
3 The wire that safeties the connections.
4 The tube connection nuts and the unions.
5 The attachment brackets.
(b) If one (some) of the items has (have) damage, wear or loss of torque, reject it (them).
(2) Examine the hydraulic tubes connections for leaks. No leaks are permitted.

1 If the tube(s) has (have) cracks, reject it (them).
2 If the tube(s) has (have) dents or damage, reject it (them).

B. Close Access
(1) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
