Removal of the Engine 1 Thrust-Reverser Hydraulic-Supply Hoses

WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.

CAUTION: DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 29-11-49-860-123-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:

On the ground service panel 197CB.

(4) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir:

On the access door 195BB.

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:

Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:

In the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.

(4) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:

Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is OFF.

(5) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the tube (60) connection to the pressure hose (55) to collect the remaining fluid.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the left fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
437AL.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-49-020-114-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Engine 1 Thrust-Reverser Hydraulic-Supply Hoses
(1) Remove the screw (20), the nut (60), and the clamps (3) and (4).
These items attach the hoses (5) and (10) to the bracket.
(2) Disconnect the hoses (5), (10) and (30) from the hydraulic control unit and the pylon tube.
(3) Put COVER - BLANKING on the disconnected hoses (5), (10) and (30), the hydraulic control unit and the pylon tube.
(4) Remove the hoses (5) and (10).
(5) Remove the screws (25), the nut (60) and the clamps (15).
These items attach the hoses (30) and (35) to the brackets, left and right side.
(6) Disconnect the hoses (30) and (35) from the interface bracket, left side.
(7) Disconnect the hose (35) from the interface bracket, right side.
(8) Put blanking covers on the disconnected hoses (30) and (35), and the interface brackets.
(9) Remove the hoses (30) and (35).
(10) Remove the screws (25), the nut (60), and the clamps (3) and (45).
These items attach the hoses (50) and (55) to the brackets.
(11) Disconnect the hoses (50) and (55) from the interface bracket (left and right side).
(12) Put blanking covers on the disconnected hoses (50) and (55), and the interface brackets.
(13) Remove the hoses (50) and (55).
