3. Job Set-up
Subtask 27-21-44-010-053-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
   (2) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the Green and the Yellow hydraulic systems is in position.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the pedals is in position.
   (5) Make sure that the 98A27901002000 PIN-RIGGING,RUDDER CONTROL (36) is in position on the tension regulator.
4. Procedure
Subtask 27-21-44-420-051-A
A. Installation of the F/O Yaw/Brake Bellcrank
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Apply Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) to the attachment hardware.
   (4) Install the yaw/brake bellcrank on the beam (110).
   (5) Install the sleeves (138) and (113).
   (6) Install the bolts (114) and the bolts (115), install and tighten the new AIPC 27-21-44-02-130 NUTS (111).
   (7) Install the rod (143) on the sleeve (138) and install the bolt (144).
   (8) Put the washer (141) in position, install and tighten the nut (140). Safety the nut (140) with the new
AIPC 27-21-44-02-010 COTTER PIN (139).
   (9) Put the rod (133) in position and install the bolt (135).
   (10) Put the washer (128) in position, install and tighten the nut (126). Safety the nut (126) with the new
AIPC 32-42-01-04-010 COTTER PIN (127) or the AIPC 32-42-81-04-010 COTTER PIN (127).
   (11) Install the rod (132) and the bolt (116).
   (12) Put the washer (120) in position, install and tighten the nut (122). Safety the nut (122) with the new
AIPC 32-42-01-04-010 COTTER PIN (121) or the AIPC 32-42-81-04-010 COTTER PIN (121).
   (13) Put the rod (119) in position and install the bolt (134).
   (14) Put the washer (131) in position, install and tighten the nut (130). Safety the nut (130) with the new
AIPC 32-42-01-04-010 COTTER PIN (129) or the AIPC 32-42-81-04-010 COTTER PIN (129).
   (15) Install the rod (118) and the bolt (117).
   (16) Put the washer (123) in position and install and tighten the nut (124). Safety the nut (124) with the new
AIPC 32-42-01-04-010 COTTER PIN (125) or the AIPC 32-42-81-04-010 COTTER PIN (125).
   (17) Install the rod (81) and the bolt (80).
   (18) Put the washer (82) in position, install and tighten the nut (84). Safety the nut (84) with the new
AIPC 27-21-01-01-010 COTTER PIN (83) or the AIPC 27-21-81-01-010 COTTER PIN (83).
   (19) Install the
98A27901002000 PIN-RIGGING,RUDDER CONTROL (35) on the yaw/brake bellcranks of the CAPT and F/O.
   (20) Push and hold the pin on transducer unit 25CE2 to lock the input lever in the zero position.
NOTE: The pin is a part of transducer unit 25CE2.
   (21) Install the rods (98) and (102) and install the bolt (103). If necessary, adjust the length of the rod (98) as follows:
     (a) Cut and discard the lockwire.
     (b) Loosen the nuts (94) and (97) and disengage the lockwashers (95) and (96).
     (c) Adjust the length of the rod (98) until you can install the bolt (103).
     (d) Engage the lockwashers (95) and (96) and tighten the nuts (94) and (97). Safety them with lockwire corrosion resistant steel dia 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).
   (22) Disengage the pin to release the input lever of transducer unit 25CE2.
   (23) Put the washer (101) in position and install and tighten the nut (100). Safety the nut (100) with the new AIPC 27-21-01-01-010 COTTER PIN (99) or the AIPC 27-21-81-01-010 COTTER PIN (99).
   (24) Install the rod (89) and the bolt (85). If necessary, adjust the length of the rod (89) as follows:
     (a) Cut and discard the lockwire.
     (b) Loosen the nuts (90) and (93) and disengage the lockwashers (91) and (92).
     (c) Adjust the length of the rod (89) until you can install the bolt (85).
     (d) Engage the lockwashers (91) and (92) and TORQUE the nuts (90) and (93) to between 1.51 and 1.24 m.daN (133.63 and 109.73 lbf.in )
T. Safety them with lockwire corrosion resistant steel dia 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).
   (25) Put the washer (86) in position, install and tighten the nut (87). Safety the nut (87) with the new
AIPC 27-21-01-01-010 COTTER PIN (88) or the AIPC 27-21-81-01-010 COTTER PIN (88).
   (26) Remove
98A27901002000 PIN-RIGGING,RUDDER CONTROL (35) from the yaw/brake bellcranks of the CAPT and F/O.

B. Remove the 98A27901002000 PIN-RIGGING,RUDDER CONTROL (36) from the tension regulator.
Subtask 27-21-44-710-051-A
C. Test of the F/O Yaw/Brake Bellcrank
   (1) Do the operational test of the rudder mechanical control (Ref. AMM TASK 27-24-00-710-001).
   (2) Do the operational test of the normal braking system (operational check of the pedals) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-00-710-001).
   (3) Do the operational test of the alternate braking system (operational check of the pedals) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
5. Close-up
Subtask 27-21-44-942-053-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

B. Close Access
   (1) Close the access door 811.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
