A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(2) If necessary, open the door/access panel of the stowage compartment.
(3) Release the strap or open the clamp and remove the portable fire extinguisher from its attachment.
4. ProcedureNOTE: The location of the fire extinguishers is shown with placards. The placards are bonded on the outer side of the stowage compartments, or adjacent to them.
(1) For the location of the portable fire extinguishers (Ref. AMM D/O 26-24-00-00). (2) If necessary, open the door/access panel of the stowage compartment.
(3) Release the strap or open the clamp and remove the portable fire extinguisher from its attachment.

A. Weight Check
(1) Remove the portable fire extinguisher for a weight check.
(2) Install a serviceable portable fire extinguisher.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Attach the strap or close the clamp.
(3) If necessary, close the door/access panel of the stowage compartment.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
