A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 811.
(2) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(4) Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(5) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
(6) Make sure that the partition panel 161DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 26-23-25-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 811.
(2) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(4) Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(5) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
(6) Make sure that the partition panel 161DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 26-23-25-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Diaphragm
(1) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the diaphragm (3) is in the correct condition and has no blockage.
(5) Apply grease:
(6) Put the diaphragm (3) in its installation position and carefully connect the pipes (1).
(7) Hold the diaphragm (3) and tighten the nuts (2).

(4) Make sure that the diaphragm (3) is in the correct condition and has no blockage.

CAUTION:
APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT GREASE TO THE MALE THREADS OF THE CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THREADS.
MAKE SURE THAT GREASE DOES NOT GO INTO THE PIPES. GREASE IN THE PIPES CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
(a) Apply a small quantity of Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the male threads of the diaphragm (3). (6) Put the diaphragm (3) in its installation position and carefully connect the pipes (1).
(7) Hold the diaphragm (3) and tighten the nuts (2).
B. Test
(1) Do a check of the fire-extinguishing lines for leakage and obstruction, without bottle 4005WX/4015WX (Ref. AMM TASK 26-23-00-200-004).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the partition panel 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Close the access door 811.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 26-23-25-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the partition panel 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Close the access door 811.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
