Subtask 26-23-14-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(2) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is in the ON position.
(4) Make sure that the protection panel 132MW is removed.
Subtask 26-23-14-010-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(2) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is in the ON position.
(4) Make sure that the protection panel 132MW is removed.
A. Get Access
(1) For aircraft without Additional Center Tanks (ACT) 1 and 2 installed:
(a) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(2) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) In the aft cabin, remove the center textile-floor covering between frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(b) Remove floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(c) Remove access panel 161EC in the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(d) In the bulk cargo compartment, remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
Subtask 26-23-14-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) For aircraft without Additional Center Tanks (ACT) 1 and 2 installed:
(a) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(2) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) In the aft cabin, remove the center textile-floor covering between frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(b) Remove floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(c) Remove access panel 161EC in the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(d) In the bulk cargo compartment, remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Halon Filter
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the halon filter (1).
(5) Apply grease as follows:
(6) Put the halon filter (1) in position on the bracket (8).
(7) Install the washers (6), the screws (7) and tighten them.
(8) Install the new AIPC 26-23-02-03-200 O-RINGS (2) on the unions (3).
(9) Install the unions (3) on the halon filter (1) and tighten them (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
(10) Install the lockwire:
14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(12) Connect the pipes (5) to the halon filter (3) and tighten the nut (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
Subtask 26-23-14-210-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The installation procedure is the same for the halon filters 5010WM and 5011WM.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the halon filter (1).
(5) Apply grease as follows:
CAUTION:
APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT GREASE TO THE MALE THREADS OF THE CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THREADS.
MAKE SURE THAT GREASE DOES NOT GO INTO THE PIPES. GREASE IN THE PIPES CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
(a) Apply a small quantity of Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the male threads. (6) Put the halon filter (1) in position on the bracket (8).
(7) Install the washers (6), the screws (7) and tighten them.
(8) Install the new AIPC 26-23-02-03-200 O-RINGS (2) on the unions (3).
(9) Install the unions (3) on the halon filter (1) and tighten them (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
(10) Install the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(11) Safety the unions (3) with (12) Connect the pipes (5) to the halon filter (3) and tighten the nut (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
B. Functional Test
(1) Do a check of the fire extinguishing lines for leakage and obstruction, without bottle 4005WX (Ref. AMM TASK 26-23-00-200-004).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the protection panel 132MW.
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 26-23-14-410-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the protection panel 132MW.
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) For aircraft without ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) Install sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(c) Close aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) In the bulk cargo compartment, install sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(b) Install access panel 161EC from the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(c) In the cabin, install floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-400-001).
(d) Install the center textile floor covering between frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) For aircraft without ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) Install sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(c) Close aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) For aircraft with ACT 1 and 2 installed:
(a) In the bulk cargo compartment, install sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(b) Install access panel 161EC from the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(c) In the cabin, install floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-400-001).
