A. Safety Precautions

WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.

(1) Put on and attach the 98L12003001000 HARNESS,SAFETY before you start work in the work area.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) in position.

C. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If necessary, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

4. Procedure

A. Inspection

ELT Antenna ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Do a general visual inspection of the external emergency-locator-transmitter (ELT) antenna (1) and make sure that there are no cracks or corrosion around the ELT antenna basis.
(2) In case of cracks or corrosion, remove the ELT antenna (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-65-14-000-001) and install a serviceable ELT antenna (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-65-14-400-001).

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Remove the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT).
(2) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
