A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the warning notice is in position at the applicable control panel of the cargo loading system.

4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

Subtask 25-52-46-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Installation of the Y-Guide
(1) Put the Y-guide (1) in the installation position.
(2) Align the holes of the Y-guide (1), the entrance guide (4) and the end stop (8).
(3) Install the pin (7) with the washers (6).
(4) Put a new AIPC 25-52-46-01-020 COTTER PIN (5) in the pin (7) and safety.
(5) Put the screws (2) through the Y-guide (1), the end stops (8) and tighten with the nuts (3).
(6) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) to the fasteners and all other connection elements.
(7) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) to the material applied to the fasteners and the connection elements (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).

5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the ball strip (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-22-400-001).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
