   (1) Make sure that the repair procedure is only applicable to the outer edges and not to the cut-out edges.
   (2) Make sure that the prepreg layer on the rear side of the lining panel is not damaged.
   (3) Measure the dimensions of the damage in these directions:
  • LE - Maximum length of the damage measured along the panel edge
  • WE - Maximum width of the damage measured perpendicular to the panel edge
  • dD - Minimum distance between the new damage to the edge and other damage or other repair(s)
  • dDE - Minimum distance between the new damage to the edge and other damage to the edge or other repair(s) to the edge.
   (4) Make sure that the maximum length of the damage to the edge is equal to or less than 100 mm (3.9370 in.).
   (5) Make sure that the maximum width of the damage to the edge is equal to or less than 25 mm (0.9843 in.).
   (6) Make sure that the minimum distance between the new damage to the edge and other damage or other repair(s) in the same panel is 300 mm (11.8110 in.).
     (a) If the distance measured is less than 300 mm (11.8110 in.), you must think of the two damaged areas as one damage.
   (7) Make sure that the minimum distance between the new damage to the edge and the other repair(s) to the edge or other damage to the edge is 650 mm (25.5906 in.).
   (8) Make sure that a maximum of one attachment hole has an effect for each damage to the edge repair(s).
   (9) Make sure that the repair patch makes an overlap on the attachment hole in all directions.
   (10) Make sure that the maximum permitted dimensions of the repair patch is 50 mm (1.9685 in.) in width and 150 mm (5.9055 in.) in length.
