A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Door Lock of the Space Flex Lavatory

Door Lock of the Space Flex Lavatory ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Make sure that the lavatory door (1) is open.
(2) Install the slider (14).
(3) Install the flap (15), washers (13) and screws (12).
(4) Tighten the screws (12).
(5) Put the bushing (26) in position and if removed, install the washers (16).
(6) Install the screws (17).
(7) Tighten the screws (17).
(8) If necessary, install the shield (22).
(9) Install the balls (18), springs (25) and spindle (21).
(10) Install the handle (23), rubstrip (24), screws (19) and washers (20).
(11) Tighten the screws (19).
(12) Install the door lock (9), actuator (8) and screws (6).
(13) Tighten the screws (6).
(14) Install the trim (7) with the screws (5), washers (4) and nuts (10).
(15) Tighten the screws (5).
(16) Put the shroud (2) in position and install the screws (11) and the nuts (3).
(17) Tighten the screws (11).
(18) Make sure that the door lock (9) operates correctly.
(19) Close the lavatory door (1).

A. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
