A. Energize the ground service network

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-21-00-210-055-A
A. Detailed Inspection of Seat Structure, Baggage Bar and Seat Attachments
   (1) Remove the seat cushion and the backrest cushion from the seat.
   (2) Make sure that the seat structure is not damaged or cracked.
NOTE: Legs, beams, seat pan, backrest, headrest, armrest and baggage restraint bar are parts of the seat structure.
   (3) Make sure that the parts of the seat structure have no corrosion or deformation.
   (4) Make sure that the parts of the seat structure are not loose or missing.
   (5) Make sure that the baggage restraint bar is attached to the seat legs.
   (6) Make sure that all the seat attachments are correctly installed:
     (a) If necessary, remove the seat rail cover.
     (b) Make sure that there is no damage or cracks in the seat attachments.
     (c) Make sure that the seat attachments have no corrosion or deformation.
     (d) Make sure that you can see the torque marks on the heads of the screws.
     (e) Make sure that the seat attachments are not loose or missing.
     (f) If the seat rail cover is removed, install it.
   (7) Install the seat cushion and the backrest cushion of the seat.

B. Detailed Inspection/Check of the Seat Belts
   (1) Make sure that the seat belt is correctly attached.
   (2) Make sure that the seat belt webbing and the belt seams have no signs of damage:
     (a) Do a check of the webbing for:
  • Cut or worn edges
  • Damaged stitching
  • Broken fabric threads
  • Tears
  • Chafing
  • Too much deterioration
  • Too much fusing
  • Felting (felting is when the webbing became more flexible, softer and thicker)
  • Frayed webbing (frayed webbing shows when the fiber in the webbing is broken).
NOTE: Light wear of the webbing is permitted.
     (b) Replace the seat belt, if:
  • The thickness of the lap belt webbing increases to more than 1.9 mm (0.075 in.).
  • The edges are cut or worn.
  • The quantity of frayed webbing is more than 10% of the web width.
  • The quantity of frayed webbing is more than 203.2 mm (8.0000 in.) of the web length.
  • There are more than 15 broken threads in other locations than the edges.
  • More than 15 stitches in the stitch pattern are broken.
   (3) Make sure that the seat belt attachments have no signs of cracks, dents, corrosion, burrs or scratches.
   (4) Make sure that the buckles and tips have no signs of cracks, dents, corrosion, burrs or scratches.
   (5) Make sure that the seat belt buckle locks/unlocks correctly.
