A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Refer to chapter 25 to know which monument you must remove to get access to the work area. Then remove this monument.
(3) Make sure that the seat-track fittings are installed.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Application of the Sealant
(1) In areas of non-textile floor covering:
(a) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) in the seat tracks.
(2) In areas of textile floor covering:
(a) Cut the cords Cord-- Nylon Braided - (Material No.14RAC1) or Cord-- Aramid - (Material No.14RAB1) (2) to the necessary length. The cords (2) must be 50mm (2 in.) longer than the area that you will seal.
(b) Put the cords (2) in the seat tracks.
(c) Make a loop at one end of each cord. This step is to make the next removal procedure easier.
(d) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) in the seat tracks.
5. Close-up(1) In areas of non-textile floor covering:
(a) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) in the seat tracks.
(2) In areas of textile floor covering:
