Subtask 25-00-00-330-053-A
A. Repair of a Damage with a minimum Depth of 1.0 mm (0.04 in.) and a maximum Diameter of 50 mm (2.0 in.)
(1) Preparation:
(a) Cut out the damaged skin with a CUTTER - THIN BLADE.
(b) Cut out the damaged core up to a maximum of 50 mm (2.0 in.) diameter with a KNIFE - TRIM.
(c) Make the repair area rough with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320).
(d) Make a patch (1) of glasscloth Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) .
(2) Do the repair procedure:
(a) Fill the repair area with a mixture of 85 parts of Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) and 15 parts of the microballoons Microballoon-Phenolic - - (Material No.13JBA1) by volume
or
(b) Install a plug (2) made of a rigid foam sheet13TBB1 Rigid Foam-Closed Cell Density 60 kg/m3 -
(d) Remove the unwanted adhesive with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If necessary apply a layer of paint coat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-370-006).
Subtask 25-00-00-330-062-A (1) Preparation:
(a) Cut out the damaged skin with a CUTTER - THIN BLADE.
(b) Cut out the damaged core up to a maximum of 50 mm (2.0 in.) diameter with a KNIFE - TRIM.
(c) Make the repair area rough with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320).
(d) Make a patch (1) of glasscloth Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) .
NOTE: The patch must be 50 mm (2.0 in.) larger than the repair area in all directions.
(e) Clean the area of the repair with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . (2) Do the repair procedure:
(a) Fill the repair area with a mixture of 85 parts of Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) and 15 parts of the microballoons Microballoon-Phenolic - - (Material No.13JBA1) by volume
NOTE: For this repair only RenLam LY 560 and Ren HY 560 is recommended.
or
(b) Install a plug (2) made of a rigid foam sheet
- Apply Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) to the mating surfaces and put the plug (2) in position.
NOTE: For this repair only RenLam LY 560 and Ren HY 560 is recommended.
(c) Apply Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) to the mating surfaces and put the patch (1) with a light pressure in position. (d) Remove the unwanted adhesive with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If necessary apply a layer of paint coat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-370-006).
B. Repair of a Damage with a Diameter of more than 50 mm (2.0 in.)
(1) Preparation:
(a) Cut out the damaged skin with a CUTTER - THIN BLADE.
(b) Cut out the damaged core with a KNIFE - TRIM.
(c) Make a patch (1) of glasscloth Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) .
13SBB1 Honeycomb core-Aramide - hexagonal 1/8 - 3.0 -
(e) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do the repair procedure:
(a) Apply Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) to the mating surfaces and put the plug (2) in position.
(d) Remove the unwanted adhesive with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If necessary apply a layer of paint coat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-370-006).
Subtask 25-00-00-330-063-A (1) Preparation:
(a) Cut out the damaged skin with a CUTTER - THIN BLADE.
(b) Cut out the damaged core with a KNIFE - TRIM.
(c) Make a patch (1) of glasscloth Dry glass fabric-4H Satin 105 gsm - 120 style SRM Type 2 - (Material No.13ABC1) .
NOTE: The patch must be 50 mm (2.0 in.) larger than the repair area in all directions.
(d) Make a repair plug (2) of (e) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do the repair procedure:
(a) Apply Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) to the mating surfaces and put the plug (2) in position.
NOTE: For this repair only RenLam LY 560 and Ren HY 560 is recommended.
(b) Fill the space around the plug (2) with Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) (3). NOTE: For this repair only RenLam LY 560 and Ren HY 560 is recommended.
(c) Apply Polyurethane Adhesive-Equipment & Furnishing Two parts - (Material No.05FCE1) to the mating surfaces and put the patch (1) with a light pressure in position. (d) Remove the unwanted adhesive with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If necessary apply a layer of paint coat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-370-006).
C. Repair of an Area with debonded Honeycomb
(a) Drill 0.5 mm (0.02 in.) holes as necessary in the area that is damaged.
(b) Make a mixture of 85 parts of Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) and 15 parts of the microballoons Microballoon-Phenolic - - (Material No.13JBA1) by volume.
(a) Use a SYRINGE to fill the damaged area with the mixture.
(b) Make the repair area smooth with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(c) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(d) Fill the areas that are not flat with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) .
(e) If necessary, make the repair area smooth with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
(f) If necessary, clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If necessary apply a layer of paint coat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-370-006).
5. Close-upNOTE: The damage area that can be repaired has a maximum diameter of 30 mm (1.2 in.). If the damage is larger, it is necessary to repair the damage with a patch.
(1) Preparation: (a) Drill 0.5 mm (0.02 in.) holes as necessary in the area that is damaged.
(b) Make a mixture of 85 parts of Laminating resin-Epoxy SRM Type 3 - (Material No.13EBD1) and 15 parts of the microballoons Microballoon-Phenolic - - (Material No.13JBA1) by volume.
NOTE: For this repair only RenLam LY 560 and Ren HY 560 is recommended.
(2) Do the repair procedure: (a) Use a SYRINGE to fill the damaged area with the mixture.
(b) Make the repair area smooth with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320 - 400).
(c) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(d) Fill the areas that are not flat with Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) .
(e) If necessary, make the repair area smooth with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
(f) If necessary, clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If necessary apply a layer of paint coat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-370-006).

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) If removed before, install the repaired component in the aircraft (refer to the related AMM chapter).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
