GENERAL VISUAL INSPECTION OF EWIS CONNECTIONS, ATTACHMENT POINTS AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS BETWEEN SEAT AND A/C INSTALLED IN THE FORWARD PASSENGER COMPARTMENT (EWIS)
NOTE: This is an EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) procedure. EWIS is defined in ESPM 20-33-11.
NOTE: This task is applicable only for aircraft with seats and with wiring connections between seats and aircraft.

A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Open the forward passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the seat covers in zones 231 and 232, if necessary.
Subtask 24-92-00-862-100-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Open the forward passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the seat covers in zones 231 and 232, if necessary.
B. Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

A. General Visual Inspection of All Wiring Connections Between Seat and Aircraft Installed in the Forward Passenger Compartment
(1) Do a visual inspection of the wiring to make sure that there is no signs of ageing, alteration, overheating, scaling and deformation ESPM 2052110.
(2) Make sure that there is no dust or lint contamination.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the seat covers in zones 231 and 232, if necessary.
(3) Close the forward passenger/crew door 831 (841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
