A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

4. Procedure

A. Do the Replacement of the Reading Light Lens.

Reading Light Lens ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Make sure that the related reading light is off.
(2) Carefully remove the lens (1) with a SCREWDRIVER - SMALL from the reading light (2).
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Install the new lens (1) on the reading light (2).
(6) Make sure that the lens (1) correctly locks into position.
(7) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

Subtask 23-73-64-960-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Do the Replacement of the Reading Light Lens.

Reading Light Lens ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Make sure that the related reading light is off.
(2) Remove the lens from the reading light:
(a) Carefully push the suction end (4) of the 8PE455838-00 TOOL-ADJUSTMENT,READING LIGHT (3) onto the lens (2) of the reading light (1).
(b) Make sure that you fully compress the suction end (4).
(c) Do not touch the pushbutton (5).
(d) Pull the 8PE455838-00 TOOL-ADJUSTMENT,READING LIGHT (3) down to remove the lens (2) from the reading light (1).
(e) Press the pushbutton (5) to release the lens (2).
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Carefully push the suction end (4) of the 8PE455838-00 TOOL-ADJUSTMENT,READING LIGHT (3) onto the new lens (2).
(6) Put the suction end (4) of the 8PE455838-00 TOOL-ADJUSTMENT,READING LIGHT (3) with the lens (2) onto the reading light (1).
(7) Push the lens (2) into the correct position until you hear a click.
(8) Press the pushbutton (5) to release the lens (2).
(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
