A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is/are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is/are in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 23-44-41-865-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 23-44-41-420-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Maintenance-Interphone Jack Harness
(1) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1).
(3) Install the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) on the interphone disconnect panel with the four screws (3) and the four washers (2).
(4) Tighten the screws (3) manually.
(5) Connect the pylon harness to the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4107VC).
(6) Attach the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to the mounting plate (6).
(7) Install the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4000RJ) and the mounting plate (6) on the interphone bracket with the four screws (7).
(8) TORQUE the four screws (7) to between 35 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.36 m.daN )

(9) For configuration 1:
(a) Attach the interphone jack harness (1) to the door as follows:
1 Attach the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to the brackets on the right fan cowl-door with the 12 clamps (4) and the 12 screws (5).
2 Adjust the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to keep the preload to a minimum.
3 TORQUE the screws (5) to between 35 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.36 m.daN )

(10) For configuration 2:
(a) Attach the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to the door as follows:
1 Attach the interphone jack harness (1) to the studs on the right fan cowl-door with the clamp (8), the 11 clamps (11), the 12 nuts (10) and the 12 washers (9).
2 Adjust the interphone jack harness (1) to keep the preload to a minimum.
3 TORQUE the nuts (10) to between 27 and 24 lbf.in (0.31 and 0.27 m.daN )

(11) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(12) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(13) Connect the electrical connector to the pylon harness.
(14) Connect the electrical connector to the interphone bracket.
Subtask 23-44-41-865-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

Maintenance-Interphone Jack Harness
