A. General
(1) This is the recommended procedure for the check of the electrical bonding of an external composite panel (with or without non-conductive finish paint on the antistatic paint).
(2) As an alternative procedure, for an antenna fairing or a radome without non-conductive finish paint, you can do the check with a megohmmeter (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-010).
(3) As an alternative procedure, for the external composite panels with dimple washers, you can measure the resistance from a panel dimple washer with a milliohmmeter (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-802):
4. Procedure(1) This is the recommended procedure for the check of the electrical bonding of an external composite panel (with or without non-conductive finish paint on the antistatic paint).
(2) As an alternative procedure, for an antenna fairing or a radome without non-conductive finish paint, you can do the check with a megohmmeter (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-010).
(3) As an alternative procedure, for the external composite panels with dimple washers, you can measure the resistance from a panel dimple washer with a milliohmmeter (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-802):
- If you cannot use the resistivity test-set probe on the panel because of the panel shape,
Or - If it is not possible to measure the resistance with a resistivity test-set.

A. Check of the Electrical Continuity
(1) Equipment
(a) The 5301-79-99ZZZ TEST SET, RESISTIVITY directly does a check of the electrical continuity between the antistatic paint on composite panels and the aircraft metal structure.
(3) Connect the C1 probe to the adjacent primary structure.
(4) Put the C1 probe on the panel.
(5) Do the check and make sure that the resistance value is not more than the permitted resistance-values (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(6) Remove the test set.

(a) The 5301-79-99ZZZ TEST SET, RESISTIVITY directly does a check of the electrical continuity between the antistatic paint on composite panels and the aircraft metal structure.
NOTE: You can do this check on panels with or without non-conductive finish paint on the antistatic paint.
NOTE: The equipment manufacturer instructions will tell you how to use the 5301-79-99ZZZ TEST SET, RESISTIVITY.
(2) If applicable, set the 5301-79-99ZZZ TEST SET, RESISTIVITY to mode C1. (3) Connect the C1 probe to the adjacent primary structure.
(4) Put the C1 probe on the panel.
(5) Do the check and make sure that the resistance value is not more than the permitted resistance-values (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(6) Remove the test set.
