Lubrication of Elevator Servocontrol Rod Eye End Bearing
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
Subtask 12-22-27-860-054-A (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green, Yellow and the Blue hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone:

- 334 for the left hand elevator
- 344 for the right hand elevator.
E. Install Locking Devices
(1) Install the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
4. Procedure(1) Install the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
Subtask 12-22-27-640-064-A
A. Lubrication of Elevator Servocontrol Rod Eye-End Bearings
(1) Clean the greasers of the elevator servocontrol rod eye-end bearing with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Use a GUN - GREASE to apply the Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) through the greasers until the new grease comes out.
5. Close-up(1) Clean the greasers of the elevator servocontrol rod eye-end bearing with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Use a GUN - GREASE to apply the Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) through the greasers until the new grease comes out.
NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubricant requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
(3) Remove the unwanted grease from the greasers and the rod eye-end bearing with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . Subtask 12-22-27-081-050-A
A. Remove Locking Devices
(1) Remove the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING from the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the trailing-edge access panels 334DB and 344DB (Ref. AMM TASK 55-13-11-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).

D. Removal of the Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
