A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 12-21-12-160-077-A

A. General Cleaning

NOTE: The water and equipment that you use for these procedures must be clean and contain no particles that could damage the surfaces.

(1) Remove the loose dirt from the surface with a BRUSH - BRISTLED, FIBER, SOFT.
(2) Apply a mild soap solution to the dirty surface with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

NOTE: If necessary, use more soap for a stronger solution.

(3) Rinse the surface with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the soap solution warm clean water.
(4) Wipe the surface dry with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

NOTE: Make sure that there is no abrasive material on the surface.
Abrasive materials can damage the surface.

(5) If necessary, do Para B. steps (1) thru (3).

CAUTION: USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED MATERIALS AND OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURERS. OTHER MATERIALS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION OF THE COMPONENTS AND THE RELATED AREA.

B. Special Cleaning

NOTE: Removal of the Stain(s) made with:

cigarette burns,
a felt pen,
a lipstick,
hair dye,
hairspray,
mascara,
nail varnish,
shoe polish.

(1) Apply an abrasive general household cleaning agent to the area of the stain(s) and wipe it with a moist lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

NOTE: Do step (2) again, if necessary.

(2) Rinse the surface with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and warm clean water.
(3) Wipe the surface dry with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1)

NOTE: Make sure that there is no abrasive material on the surface.
Abrasive materials can damage the surface.

(4) If necessary, do Para. C. steps (1) thru (2).

C. Intensive Cleaning

CAUTION: USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED MATERIALS AND OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURERS. OTHER MATERIALS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION OF THE COMPONENTS AND THE RELATED AREA.

(1) Clean the wash basin with Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Interior - - (Material No.08ACA1) or a powder cleaning agent and use the Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) for dried contamination.
(2) After you use the Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Interior - - (Material No.08ACA1) protect the surface with the Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .
