NOTE: This is an EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) procedure. EWIS is defined in ESPM 20-33-11.

Subtask 05-28-30-010-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 831 ( 841) or 832 ( 842).
(2) Open passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) or 832 ( 842) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Open emergency exit doors 833 ( 843) and 834 ( 844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001).
(4) Remove emergency-exit door panels 833AZ ( 843AZ), 833BZ ( 843BZ), 834AZ ( 844AZ) and 834BZ ( 844BZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-001).
(5) Lift the insulation blanket.

4. Procedure
Subtask 05-28-30-210-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Inspection

Forward and Aft Overwing Emergency Exits which include Door Surround on Fuselage, the Door Seals and the External Surface ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Do a general visual inspection of the forward and aft overwing emergency-exits (zones 833 (843) and 834 (844)). This inspection includes the door surround on fuselage, the door seals and the external surface of the doors.
(2) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks or damage.
(3) Make sure that all the installations are correctly attached.

5. Close-up
Subtask 05-28-30-410-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the insulation blanket back in position.
(3) Install emergency-exit door panels 833AZ ( 843AZ), 833BZ ( 843BZ), 834AZ ( 844AZ) and 834BZ ( 844BZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-001).
(4) Close emergency exit doors 833 ( 843) and 834 ( 844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-400-001).
(5) Close passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) or 832 ( 842) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
