GENERAL VISUAL INSPECTION OF UPPER HALF OF FUSELAGE
NOTE: This is an alternative method for the general visual inspection of the upper half of fuselage.
For the other method, refer to the relevant task in this page block.

Subtask 05-22-00-860-054-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Tow the aircraft in a hangar.
(2) Put the CHOCK - WHEEL(S) in position (Ref. AMM TASK 10-11-00-555-015).
(3) Close the hangar doors.
(4) Make sure that the Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer (THS) and the rudder are in neutral position.
(5) Make sure that the engines are installed.
(6) Make sure that all the aircraft openings that follow are closed:
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(8) Make sure that no part of the aircraft is missing in the area inspected by the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(9) Make sure that the light conditions in the hangar do not cause reflections on the aircraft skin in the inspection areas.
If they do, stop the ceiling lights, do the inspection with the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE later or do the alternative inspection method.
Subtask 05-22-00-941-052-A (1) Tow the aircraft in a hangar.
(2) Put the CHOCK - WHEEL(S) in position (Ref. AMM TASK 10-11-00-555-015).
(3) Close the hangar doors.

- Passenger/crew doors
- Emergency exit doors
- Cargo compartment doors
- APU doors
- Engine cowls: Fan cowl doors and Thrust Reverser doors

- Service panels.

(8) Make sure that no part of the aircraft is missing in the area inspected by the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(9) Make sure that the light conditions in the hangar do not cause reflections on the aircraft skin in the inspection areas.
If they do, stop the ceiling lights, do the inspection with the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE later or do the alternative inspection method.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that there are no persons and no objects below, above and around the zone of 5 m (16 ft.) around the aircraft.
(2) Safety the area with the MARKER - TEMPORARY, MEDIUM.
(3) Make sure that you did the mandatory trainings for the drone operation and picture analysis.

(a) Make an assessment of the general condition of the surfaces that the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE will photograph. It must be done by the same person as the one who will analyze the images taken by the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(2) Put the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE in position A (left side).
(4) Select the "FRONT LEFT" flight task.
(5) Start the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(6) Wait for the end of the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(8) Put the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE in position B (left side).
(10) Select the "AFT LEFT" flight task.
(11) Start the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(12) Wait for the end of the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(14) Put the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE in position C (right side).
(16) Select the "AFT RIGHT" flight task.
(17) Start the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(18) Wait for the end of the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(20) Put the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE in position D (right side).
(22) Select the "FRONT RIGHT" flight task.
(23) Start the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(24) Wait for the end of the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(26) Transfer the pictures from the tablet to the computer installed with the TEDEF037 DRONE SOFTWARE suite.
(27) On the computer, review all pictures of the inspection area.
(28) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks or damage in the inspection area.

DURING THE DRONE FLIGHT PHASE, MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO OTHER MAINTENANCE WORK IN THE IDENTIFIED SAFETY AREA. THE DRONE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do a walk around of the aircraft.(a) Make an assessment of the general condition of the surfaces that the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE will photograph. It must be done by the same person as the one who will analyze the images taken by the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(2) Put the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE in position A (left side).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CHARGE LEVEL OF THE DRONE BATTERY IS SUFFICIENT TO DO THE FULL INSPECTION. IF IT IS NOT SUFFICIENT, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT AND AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.
(3) Select the related aircraft configuration on the TEDEF037 DRONE SOFTWARE in the tablet.(4) Select the "FRONT LEFT" flight task.
(5) Start the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
(6) Wait for the end of the flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE.
NOTE: The flight mission of the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE is finished when the DCL90-00001 ADVANCED INSPECTION DRONE comes back to position A (left side).
