A. Not Applicable
NOTE: The Electronic Engine Control (EEC) in channel A and channel B has detected the engine has failed to light during the start using ignition system A and ignition system B. The ignition system alternates at the beginning of each engine auto start in the following sequence: Start 1- Ignition System A, Channel A, Start 2 - Ignition System A, Channel B, Start 3 - Ignition System B, Channel A, Start 4 - Ignition System B Channel B. The ignition exciter is located on the right side of the fan case at approximately 5 o'clock position.
4. Fault Isolation
WARNING: IGNITION SYSTEM VOLTAGE IS DANGEROUSLY HIGH. THE IGNITION SWITCH MUST BE IN THE "OFF" POSITION BEFORE REMOVING OR INSTALLING ANY IGNITION COMPONENTS. AFTER DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM IGNITER PLUG, DISCHARGE CURRENT BY GROUNDING IGNITION CABLE TERMINAL TO ENSURE COMPLETE DISSIPATION OF ENERGY FROM THE SYSTEM. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE COULD RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: REFER TO THE MSDS FOR ALL MATERIAL USED AND THE MANUFACTURER'S SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL EQUIPMENT USED. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS WARNING, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ELECTRICAL POWER FROM THE EEC BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE EEC CAN OCCUR.

A. Do the steps that follow:
   (1) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors AMM 78-36-00-010-802.
   (2) Look at the engine start report to see if fuel flow was OK during the engine start attempt.
     (a) If the fuel flow was not OK, refer to troubleshoot the engine after a no Light-no/low fuel flow event (Ref. TSM TASK 71-00-00-810-850).
1 Do the test given in the Para. 4.B.
     (b) If the fuel flow was OK, refer to troubleshoot the engine after a no light with correct fuel flow event (Ref. TSM TASK 71-00-00-810-851).
1 Do the test given in the Para. 4.B.
2 If the problem continues, go to the next step.
   (3) Look at the ground report to see if there are any other maintenance messages set against the ignition system.
     (a) If there are any maintenance messages set, do the corrective action for those maintenance messages.
     (b) If there are no related maintenance messages, go to the next step.
