3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 29-23-00-700-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do the Operation Check of the PTU Inhibition Logic AMM 29-23-00-710-006.
   (1) If the test confirms the fault, go to the Para. Fault Isolation.
   (2) If the test does not confirm the fault, no more troubleshooting is necessary.
   (3) If there are fault messages related to the G(Y) HYD PRESS SW1(2):
     (a) Do the troubleshooting procedures related to these messages first.
NOTE: The Inhibition control logic stops the PTU when:
  • The PRESS SW-G HYD, FLT CTL [10CE2] AND SYSTEM-PRESS-SW [1151GN] or PRESS SW-Y HYD, FLT CTL [10CE3] AND SYSTEM-PRESS-SW [3151GN] are in the low pressure position for more than 6 seconds
    AND
  • The aircraft is in flight (NLG shock absorber not compressed)
    AND
  • The three CBs 1801GL, 1807GL and 1808GL are closed.
Subtask 29-23-00-700-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do the Operation Check of the PTU Inhibition Logic AMM 29-23-00-710-006.
   (1) If the test confirms the fault, go to the Para. Fault Isolation.
   (2) If the test does not confirm the fault, no more troubleshooting is necessary.
   (3) If there are fault messages related to the G(Y) HYD PRESS SW1(2):
     (a) Do the troubleshooting procedures related to these messages first.
NOTE: The Inhibition control logic stops the PTU when:
  • The PRESS SW-G HYD, FLT CTL [10CE2] AND SYSTEM-PRESS-SW [1151GN] or PRESS SW-Y HYD, FLT CTL [10CE3] AND SYSTEM-PRESS-SW [3151GN] are in the low pressure position for more than 6 seconds
    AND
  • The aircraft is in flight (NLG shock absorber not compressed)
    AND
  • The two CBs 1801GL and 1825GL are closed.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 29-23-00-810-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If there is confirmation of the fault:
   (1) Pressurize the green hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-863-001.
     (a) Do a check of the ECAM for a G HYD SYS LO PRESS warning.
       1 If there is a G HYD SYS LO PRESS warning:
         a Depressurize the green hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-001.
         b Do the troubleshooting procedure for Loss of the System Pressure of the Green Hydraulic System (Ref. TSM TASK 29-11-00-810-805).
         c Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation:
  • If the fault continues, go to Para. 4.A.(2).
       2 If there is no warning, depressurize the green hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-001:
  • Do the subsequent step.
   (2) Pressurize the yellow hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-863-002.
     (a) Do a check of the ECAM for a Y HYD SYS LO PRESS warning.
       1 If there is a Y HYD SYS LO PRESS warning:
         a Depressurize the yellow hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-002.
         b Do the troubleshooting procedure for Loss of the System Pressure of the Yellow Hydraulic system (Ref. TSM TASK 29-13-00-810-805).
         c Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation:
  • If the fault continues go to Para. 4.A.(3).
       2 If there is no warning, depressurize the yellow hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-002:
  • Do the subsequent step.
   (3) Do a check and repair as necessary the aircraft wiring from:
  • Diode Module 1164VD pin A/25 to Terminal Block 1156VT pin 15/N
  • Diode Module 1164VD pin A/16 to Terminal Block 1156VT pin 15/V
  • Diode Module 1164VD pin A/41 to Terminal Block 1154VT pin 37/K
  • Relay 1814GL pin A/B2 to Terminal Block 1172VT pin 6/K
  • AWM 292302.
     (a) Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation.
   (4) If the fault continues:
     (a) Do a check of the DIODE MODULE 1164VD. Make sure there is no continuity of the related diodes from connector A pins:
  • 10 to 25
  • 11 to 26
  • 2 to 17
  • 39 to 40
  • 1 to 16
  • 41 to 42
  • ASM 292301.
       1 If there is a defective diode, replace the DIODE MODULE 1164VD .
       2 If there is not a defective diode, do the subsequent step.
   (5) Do a check off the aircraft wiring and the relays that follow for the PTU inhibition system:
  • Relay 1805GL
  • Relay 1809GL
  • Relay 1810GL
  • Relay 1811GL
  • Relay 1812GL
  • Relay 1813GL
  • Relay 1814GL
  • Relay 1816GL
  • Relay 1818GL
  • AWM 292302.
     (a) Repair or replace the defective relay or wiring as necessary.
     (b) Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation.
Subtask 29-23-00-810-065-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If there is confirmation of the fault:
   (1) Pressurize the green hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-863-001.
     (a) Do a check of the ECAM for a G HYD SYS LO PRESS warning.
       1 If there is a G HYD SYS LO PRESS warning:
         a Depressurize the green hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-001.
         b Do the troubleshooting procedure for Loss of the System Pressure of the Green Hydraulic System (Ref. TSM TASK 29-11-00-810-805).
         c Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation:
  • If the fault continues, go to Para. 4.A.(2).
       2 If there is no warning, depressurize the green hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-001:
  • Do the subsequent step.
   (2) Pressurize the yellow hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-863-002.
     (a) Do a check of the ECAM for a Y HYD SYS LO PRESS warning.
       1 If there is a Y HYD SYS LO PRESS warning:
         a Depressurize the yellow hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-002.
         b Do the troubleshooting procedure for Loss of the System Pressure of the Yellow Hydraulic system (Ref. TSM TASK 29-13-00-810-805).
         c Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation:
  • If the fault continues go to Para. 4.A.(3).
       2 If there is no warning, depressurize the yellow hydraulic system AMM 29-10-00-864-002:
  • Do the subsequent step.
   (3) Do a check and repair as necessary the aircraft wiring from:
  • Diode Module 1164VD pin A/40 to Relay 1823GL pin A/3
  • Diode Module 1164VD pin A/16 to Relay 1823GL pin A/Z
  • Diode Module 1164VD pin A/26 to Relay 1822GL pin A/3
  • Diode Module 1164VD pin A/25 to Relay 1822GL pin A/Z
  • Relay 1805GL pin A/B2 to Terminal Block 1172VT pin 17/K
  • Relay 1805GL pin A/B3 to Terminal Block 1172VT pin 8/T
  • Relay 1820GL pin A/A2 to Terminal Block 1172VT pin 8/B

     (a) Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation.
   (4) If the fault continues:
     (a) Do a check of the DIODE MODULE 1164VD. Make sure there is no continuity of the related diodes from connector A pins:
       1 If there is a defective diode, replace the DIODE MODULE 1164VD .
       2 If there is not a defective diode, do the subsequent step.
   (5) Do a check off the aircraft wiring and the relays that follow for the PTU inhibition system:
  • Relay 1805GL
  • Relay 1820GL
  • Relay 1821GL
  • Relay 1822GL
  • Relay 1823GL
  • Relay 1824GL
  • AWM 292302.
     (a) Repair or replace the defective relay or wiring as necessary.
     (b) Do the test given in the Para. Fault Confirmation.
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-23-00-942-050-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
