Continuous Running of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) After Start in Sequence of Engine 2 and Engine 1

3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 29-23-00-710-060-A

A. Do this test.
(1) Make sure that the PTU P/BSW is in the AUTO position.
(2) Start the engine No. 2 AMM 71-00-00-710-003.
(3) Start the engine No. 1 AMM 71-00-00-710-003.
(4) Do a check of the PTU for continuous running.
(a) If there is continuous running, do the subsequent steps:
1 On the overhead panel 40VU, set the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP P/BSW to the OFF position, and after some seconds, back to the ON position.

NOTE: The YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP is set back to its initial configuration when you set the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP P/BSW to ON again.

2 Do again a check for continuous running of the PTU.
(5) Shut down the engines AMM 71-00-00-710-028.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 29-23-00-810-057-B

A. If after start of the engine No. 1:

the PTU starts continuous running and stops after you have switched off and on the YELLOW/ENG 2 PUMP P/BSW:
replace the MANIFOLD,PTU [1113GM] AMM 29-11-15-000-001 and AMM 29-11-15-400-001.

(1) If the fault continues:

do the troubleshooting of the continuous running of the PTU (Ref. TSM TASK 29-23-00-810-802).

B. Do the fault confirmation procedure as given in Para. 3. to make sure that operation is correct.
