WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE FUEL SYSTEM WIRING, YOU MUST USE TEST EQUIPMENT THAT IS APPROVED (REFER TO INTERNATIONAL OR NATIONAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR INTRINSICALLY SAFE TEST EQUIPMENT: EN50020, UL913 OR EQUIVALENT). TEST EQUIPMENT THAT IS NOT APPROVED CAN CAUSE FIRE OR AN EXPLOSION.
1. Possible Causes- ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/TRANSFER VALVE [11QU]
SW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU) 800VU RELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU) 92VU RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU) 92VU aircraft wiring between the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE (11QU) supply connector pin A, and the SW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU), terminal 3A aircraft wiring between the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE (11QU) supply connector pin D, and the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal X aircraft wiring between the RELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU), terminal D1, and the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal Z aircraft wiring between the RELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU), terminal A1, and the ANN LT-DEFUEL/XFR/OPEN (21QU), terminal 4, at 800VU aircraft wiring between the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal 1, and the ANN LT-DEFUEL/XFR/OPEN (21QU), terminal I, at 800VU

Subtask 28-25-00-710-055-A 4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 28-25-00-810-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the floodlight-refuel/defuel control-panel door does not operate:
(a) Make sure the SW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU) is set to DEFUEL.
(b) Set the MCDU to CFDS(FUEL), Input Parameters Page 3.
(c) Examine bit position C6.
(2) If a 1 is shown in bit position C6:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator-defuel/transfer valve (11QU).
(b) With a MULTIMETER - STANDARD do a test to see if 28VDC is available between pins A (+ve) and E (-ve) at the supply cable connector end.
(3) If a 1 shows and 28VDC is available, do a check/replace the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/TRANSFER VALVE [11QU] , AMM 28-25-53-000-001 and AMM 28-25-53-400-001.
(4) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) If 28VDC is not available (in Para. (2)(b)) do a check ASM 282501/replace theSW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU) 800VU .
(6) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(7) If the fault continues, do a check ASM 282501/replace theRELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU) 92VU .
(8) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(9) If the fault continues, do a check ASM 282501/replace theRELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU) 92VU .
(10) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(11) If the fault continues do a wiring check ASM 282501 of the:

Subtask 28-25-00-810-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - go to (Ref. TSM TASK 28-25-00-810-805).
(a) Make sure the SW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU) is set to DEFUEL.
(b) Set the MCDU to CFDS(FUEL), Input Parameters Page 3.
(c) Examine bit position C6.
(2) If a 1 is shown in bit position C6:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator-defuel/transfer valve (11QU).
(b) With a MULTIMETER - STANDARD do a test to see if 28VDC is available between pins A (+ve) and E (-ve) at the supply cable connector end.
(3) If a 1 shows and 28VDC is available, do a check/replace the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/TRANSFER VALVE [11QU] , AMM 28-25-53-000-001 and AMM 28-25-53-400-001.
(4) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) If 28VDC is not available (in Para. (2)(b)) do a check ASM 282501/replace the

aircraft wiring between the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE (11QU) supply connector pin A, and the SW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU), terminal 3A aircraft wiring between the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE (11QU) supply connector pin D, and the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal X aircraft wiring between the RELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU), terminal D1, and the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal Z aircraft wiring between the RELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU), terminal A1, and the ANN LT-DEFUEL/XFR/OPEN (21QU), terminal 4, at 800VU aircraft wiring between the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal 1, and the ANN LT-DEFUEL/XFR/OPEN (21QU), terminal I, at 800VU .
(13) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.

(3) If a 1 shows and 28VDC is available, do a check/replace the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/TRANSFER VALVE [11QU] , AMM 28-25-53-000-001 and AMM 28-25-53-400-001.
(4) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) If 28VDC is not available (in Para. (2)(b)) do a check ASM 282501/replace theSW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU) 800VU .
(6) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(7) If the fault continues check ASM 282501/replace theRELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU) 92VU .
(8) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(9) If the fault continues do a check ASM 282501/replace theRELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU) 92VU .
(10) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(11) If the fault continues do a wiring check ASM 282501 of the:

(2) If a 1 is shown in bit position B2:

(3) If a 1 shows and 28VDC is available, do a check/replace the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/TRANSFER VALVE [11QU] , AMM 28-25-53-000-001 and AMM 28-25-53-400-001.
(4) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) If 28VDC is not available (in Para. (2)(b)) do a check ASM 282501/replace the

aircraft wiring between the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE (11QU) supply connector pin A, and the SW-MODE SELECT/REFUEL/OFF/DEFUEL/XFR (3QU), terminal 3A aircraft wiring between the ACTUATOR-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE (11QU) supply connector pin D, and the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal X aircraft wiring between the RELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU), terminal D1, and the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal Z aircraft wiring between the RELAY-REFUEL/DEFUEL CTL PNL DOOR POSITION (14QU), terminal A1, and the ANN LT-DEFUEL/XFR/OPEN (21QU), terminal 4, at 800VU aircraft wiring between the RELAY-DEFUEL/XFR VALVE POSITION (19QU), terminal 1, and the ANN LT-DEFUEL/XFR/OPEN (21QU), terminal I, at 800VU .
