Subtask 28-24-00-720-054-A
A. Test
   (1) At the overhead panel 20VU, and on the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL 1WD, make sure that the ENG 2 FIRE PUSH pushbutton switch is in the closed and guarded position.
   (2) Get the Functional Test of the LP Fuel Shut Off Valves AMM 28-24-00-720-001.
     (a) Do the job set-up and the parts of the test applicable to the ENG 2 LP valve 13QM.
1 If the test of the ENG 2 LP fuel valve 13QM:

  • operates as specified, no troubleshooting work steps are necessary

  • shows that it does not open, do the TSM procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 28-24-00-810-805)

  • shows that it does not close, do the TSM procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 28-24-00-810-806)

  • movements are correct but the related symbol indications (on the ECAM system FUEL page) are not correct, do Para. 4.A.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 28-24-00-810-057-A
A. Procedure
   (1) Set the ENG/MASTER 2 (2KC) switch (on the panel 115VU) to OFF.
   (2) Disconnect the connector 10QG-A from the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 (10QG).
   (3) Examine the ENG 2 LP fuel valve symbol on the ECAM system FUEL page.
     (a) If the ENG 2 LP fuel valve symbol:

  • shows in transit (a diagonal amber line), do step (4)

  • does not show in transit, do step (7).
   (4) Do the check that follows:
     (a) Temporarily put a ground on the connector 10QG-A, pin B.
1 Examine the ENG 2 LP fuel valve symbol on the ECAM system FUEL page and make a record of the symbol shown.
2 Remove the ground temporarily put on the connector 10QG-A, pin B.
     (b) Temporarily put a ground on the connector 10QG-A, pin D.
1 Examine the ENG 2 LP fuel valve symbol on the ECAM system FUEL page and make a record of the symbol shown.
2 Remove the ground temporarily put on the connector 10QG-A, pin D.
     (c) Compare the records of the checks in the steps (a) and (b) with the table that follows:

THE GROUNDED PIN OF CONNECTOR 10QG-A
ENG 2 LP FUEL VALVE SYMBOL
B
AMBER CROSS LINE = CLOSED
D
AMBER IN LINE = OPEN
1 If the records of the ENG 2 LP fuel valve symbols shown:

  • agrees with that shown in the table, do step (5)

  • does not agree with that shown in the table, do step (7).
   (5) Do a check of the aircraft wiring AWM 282402 between the ACTUATOR-LP VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-A, pin E and the ground point 4002VN(621STA332).
     (a) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors ESPM 2053210.
     (b) Connect the connector 10QG-A to the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 (10QG).
     (c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
   (6) If the fault continues:
     (a) Replace the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 [10QG] AMM 28-24-51-000-001 and AMM 28-24-51-400-001.
     (b) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
   (7) If the fault continues (the symbol does not show in transit in step (3) or it does not agree with the table given in step (4)).
     (a) Do a check of the aircraft wiring AWM 315477 between:
  • the ACTUATOR-LP VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-A, pin B and the SDAC-1 (1WV-1) connector AD, pin 2J (closed signal wire/SDAC-1)
  • the ACTUATOR-LP VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-A, pin D and the SDAC-1 (1WV-1) connector AD, pin 1J (open signal wire/SDAC-1)
  • the ACTUATOR-LP VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-A, pin B and the SDAC-2 (1WV-2) connector AD, pin 2J (closed signal wire/SDAC-2)
  • the ACTUATOR-LP VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-A, pin D and the SDAC-2 (1WV-2) connector AD, pin 1J (open signal wire/SDAC-2).
     (b) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors ESPM 2053210.
     (c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
   (8) If the fault continues:
     (a) Open the C/Bs 3WV (SDAC1) and 2WV (SDAC2) in turn:
     (b) If the fault is displayed on the powered (or the active) SDAC, swap (interchange) the SDACs to confirm the faulty LRU.
     (c) Replace the SDAC-1 [1WV1] or SDAC-2 [1WV2] AMM 31-55-34-000-001 and AMM 31-55-34-400-001 that causes the incorrect ENG 2 LP fuel valve symbol to be shown on the ECAM system FUEL page.
     (d) Connect the connector 10QG-A to the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 (10QG).
     (e) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
